The short answer
HighLevel sends a few events to two ad platforms, workflow by workflow. DataCops sends every stage of every client to eight, with a bot check you can switch on and a log row for each send.
DataCops is a tool that does the ad-conversion job without a container, warehouse or plugin: one script and one DNS record on your own domain, a bot verdict on every visit with a Real people only switch per ad platform, the real sale from your CRM or Shopify sent back to your ads, new campaigns warmed up with the customers you already have, and a log of every send.
How DataCops does it:
- First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
- Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
- The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
- Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.
Best for: teams who want better ad conversions without building or maintaining the pipe: lead gen, ecommerce, clinics, home services, B2B and agencies.
The alternatives at a glance:
- DataCops: best overall for agencies on HighLevel. Install once, pick clients, and lead, booked, showed, won and paid go to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
- Stape: best if you already run server-side GTM and want its HighLevel app.
- AnyTrack: best for funnel and affiliate marketers.
- Hyros: best for big info-product and call-based offers that want reports.
- Zapier: best for one or two custom routes, paid per task.
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
If you run ads for clients on HighLevel, you already have a Conversions API. It is a workflow action, it costs nothing extra, and it works. So why look further?
Because "works" is doing a lot of work. It reaches two ad platforms. It fires from a short list of triggers. It sends what fills the form, bots included. And by HighLevel's own ideas board, purchases can be counted twice. This guide is about the gap between "some events reach Meta" and "the ads learn who buys".
Is HighLevel's tracking enough?
Most "HighLevel tracking" advice is really attribution advice: see which ad brought which lead, in a report. That is useful. It tells you what worked. But the ad platform never reads your report.
Meta and Google do not learn from your dashboard. They learn from the events you send them, matched to their clicks. If Meta only hears "lead", it finds more people who fill in forms. If it hears "booked", "showed", "won, with its value", it finds more people who pay.
Reports tell you
- Which campaign brought the lead
- What you should spend more on
- A number for the client call
Sending the stage tells the ad
- This click became a booked call
- This one showed up
- This one paid, and how much
HighLevel does some of the second job, for Meta and Google Ads. DataCops is built for the second job only, across all eight ad platforms. Tools like Hyros, Cometly or Triple Whale do the first job better than we do: richer dashboards, multi-touch models, creative reports. We do not pretend otherwise.
Your report knows who bought. Your ad account should know too.
The real difference: what the ads learn
Every stage, to every platform
HighLevel can send a pipeline stage to Meta, which is genuinely useful. Google Ads only hears from five triggers. TikTok and LinkedIn hear nothing from HighLevel that we could find.
DataCops reads the stages once and sends lead, booked, showed, won with its value and paid to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. See HighLevel conversion tracking.
Install once, not per workflow
With HighLevel, tracking lives inside workflows: one per event, per platform, per sub-account. A new client means rebuilding them. In Google Ads you create each conversion action first and copy its name exactly.
DataCops installs once for the agency. You pick the clients. Google Ads conversion actions are created for you, as secondary, so they do not disturb bidding until you choose. Every client sits on one agency board.
Bots stay out of the ads
A HighLevel form cannot tell a person from a bot, and its conversion docs say nothing about filtering. So bot leads reach Meta, and Meta looks for more of them.
DataCops gives every website visit a verdict: bot, datacenter, VPN or proxy. Turn on Real people only for a platform and flagged visits stay out of it. Once on, bots and datacenter traffic are blocked, and VPN, proxy and Tor blocking are optional. It is off by default. Stages that come from the CRM carry no bot flag, so check them the usual way. See click fraud protection.
Counted once, with a reason
HighLevel's own ideas board has a request titled around proper purchase tracking: browser and server purchases counted twice. When numbers look wrong, there is no per-event log to check.
DataCops writes each conversion as a row per platform: sent, held, skipped or failed, with the reason next to it. When a client asks why a number moved, you read the row instead of opening workflows.
The click survives
HighLevel's offline Meta events use the last pixel data it has and only send with an fbclid. DataCops keeps click IDs on your own subdomain for 90 days and remembers the visitor up to 400 days (with consent in the EU). SignupCops even keeps the click through Sign in with Google.
Consent, health mode and deletion
We found no consent manager, health setting or deletion flow for tracking data in HighLevel's conversion docs. DataCops has a first-party consent manager built to the IAB TCF v2.2 standard, where the server re-checks consent before every send, a health mode for Meta-restricted clinics (approved fields only, page links cut to the domain, event names like L_1), and a self-serve deletion form confirmed by email. Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn deletion requests are handled automatically; Google Ads is still manual.
The real cost of a "free" feature
HighLevel's conversion sending has no price tag. It is in your plan. The cost shows up elsewhere, in hours and in ad spend. Answer these with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build the HighLevel workflows, pixel links and Google Ads actions for every client before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The biggest number is the last one. When bots and duplicates reach Meta, it optimises toward them. The CPL looks fine and the calls stop closing.
Free tracking that teaches the ads the wrong buyer is the most expensive tool you own.

1. DataCops: best for agencies on HighLevel
DataCops keeps HighLevel as your CRM and takes over the job of telling the ads what happened. Install once, pick clients, and every stage goes to eight ad platforms, bot-checked where you switch it on, and logged with a reason.
Why people switch to it
- TikTok and LinkedIn, not just Meta and Google
- No per-client workflow rebuild
- Bots kept out per platform
- A log that answers the client's question
Worth knowing
- Real people only is off until you switch it on
- App is free in HighLevel; agencies pay DataCops
Best for: agencies who want every client's ads to learn who actually pays.

2. Stape: best if you already run server GTM
Stape hosts server-side GTM and has a HighLevel app to map stages to Meta and Google Ads. Cheap and flexible if your team lives in GTM. You still build the container, the mapping and the bot rules. See Stape alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Low price per request
- Any destination with a server tag
Worth knowing
- A container to build per client
- Paused past 110% of the plan
Best for: teams with a GTM person who enjoy the control.
3. AnyTrack: best for funnels and affiliates
AnyTrack connects funnels and affiliate networks to the ad platforms, and has a public TikTok to GoHighLevel page. The free plan allows one site, one ad platform and one conversion source. See AnyTrack alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Affiliate and funnel integrations
- TikTok with HighLevel
Worth knowing
- No per-platform bot switch stated
Best for: marketers selling through funnels and affiliate offers.

4. Hyros: best for reports on big offers
Hyros is an attribution tool: it tells you which ad and which call made money, in detail. It is strong for large info-product and call-based offers. Its homepage does not mention GoHighLevel and it publishes no price. Cometly is a similar pick, priced by pageviews through a sales call. See Hyros and Cometly alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Rich attribution reports
- Call tracking focus
Worth knowing
- No public price
- Reports are for you; check what it sends back to each ad
Best for: buyers whose main need is the report, not the feedback loop.

5. Zapier: best for one or two custom routes
Zapier can push a HighLevel stage to an ad platform. It is charged per task, so every stage for every lead costs one, and matching, dedup and bot checks are yours to build. See Zapier offline conversions.
Why people switch to it
- Connects almost anything
- Familiar
Worth knowing
- Cost grows with every stage
- No click matching or dedup built in
Best for: a couple of routes you will watch yourself.
Other tools in this space: Triple Whale, Northbeam, Rockerbox, HockeyStack and LeadsBridge.
When not to use DataCops
- Mostly Facebook lead forms in one account. HighLevel's own Meta action sends pipeline events for contacts who came from a Facebook lead form. If that is nearly all your leads, it may be enough.
- Google Ads only, with the click ID stored on every contact. HighLevel's Add to Google Ads action works on form, order, call, survey and chat triggers and needs a click ID. If every contact carries one, it may be enough for a single account.
- You need custom tag logic or non-ad destinations. DataCops sends to ad platforms. If you feed other tools from a server container or pipeline, keep it for those.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody wants a workflow action. You want four things for every client:
- Every real lead and sale reaches the ads, including the ones ad blockers and Safari hide.
- The stages after the form go too, booked, showed, won and paid.
- Bots stay out, so the ads do not learn from fake leads.
- Each event counts once, and you can see why it was sent or not.
The traditional way, with HighLevel workflows
- Connect the Meta pixel per sub-account.
- Create each conversion action in Google Ads by hand.
- Build a workflow per event, per platform, per client.
- Type the Google Ads action name so it matches exactly.
- Hope the contact has a GCLID or fbclid.
- Watch for purchases counted twice.
- Find another tool for TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Repeat for the next client.
With DataCops
- Install DataCops once on the HighLevel agency.
- Pick the clients.
- Add one script and one DNS record per client site.
- Connect each ad platform with one click.
- Switch on Real people only where you want it.
Then run the agency. Click IDs, matching each stage to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and the send to each platform are handled, each conversion counted once.
HighLevel gives you a button per event. DataCops gives every client's ads the whole story.
Why agencies outgrow HighLevel's tracking
- Two platforms. Meta and Google Ads. We found no conversion action for TikTok or LinkedIn in its help docs.
- Five Google Ads triggers. Form, order, number pool call, survey and chat widget. A pipeline stage cannot go to Google Ads through that action.
- Fragile setup. The Google Ads action must already exist and its name must match exactly.
- Offline Meta events lean on old pixel data and only send if an fbclid exists.
- Duplicate purchases. A public request says browser and server purchases are counted twice, with no dedup. No status, no timeline.
- No bot check. Nothing in the docs about filtering before sending.
- No log with reasons. When a client asks why conversions dropped, you open workflows one by one.
The stages that matter, by industry
| Client type | What HighLevel usually sends | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Form or booking to Meta | Showed, treatment paid, to all eight ad platforms, with health mode |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote form | Estimate booked, job won with value |
| Coaches and high-ticket | Call booked to Meta | Showed, won, paid, to Google Ads and TikTok too |
| B2B services | Form to Google Ads | Won deals to LinkedIn |
Any CRM beyond HighLevel posts the stage to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. See offline conversions.
Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays
HighLevel forwards what your site or store produces. A new ad account, pixel or campaign has nothing yet, so it pays to learn from scratch. That is a job a pipe cannot do, because the customers you already have never visit on command.
Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:
- Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
- See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
- Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
- Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.
Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What else a pipe never does
- Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
- Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
- Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
- Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
- Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.
Setup, step by step, side by side
| The job | ||
|---|---|---|
| Connect Meta | Connect the pixel in Integrations or Ad Manager, per sub-account. | Click Connect Meta and sign in, once per client. Deduplication by event ID is handled. |
| Connect Google Ads | Create the conversion action in Google Ads, wait for the list to fill, match the name exactly in a workflow. | Connect Google Ads. Actions are created for you as secondary. |
| Send a pipeline stage | Workflow per stage to Meta. Not to Google Ads through the action. | Lead, booked, showed, won and paid go to all eight ad platforms, counted once. |
| TikTok and LinkedIn | Not found in HighLevel's docs. Another tool. | One click, like Meta. Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key. |

| Why is a conversion missing? | Open each workflow's history. | Read the delivery log row. |
"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald

HighLevel Conversion API: FAQ
Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?
Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
Does HighLevel have a Conversions API?
Yes. HighLevel has a Meta Conversions API workflow action and an "Add to Google Ads" workflow action for offline conversions. Both come with every HighLevel plan at no extra price. Both are set up per workflow, per sub-account.
Which ad platforms can HighLevel send conversions to?
Meta and Google Ads. We found no workflow action in HighLevel's help docs that sends conversions to TikTok or LinkedIn, only a TikTok form trigger and TikTok messaging. DataCops sends to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
Why does HighLevel count my purchases twice?
A public request on HighLevel's ideas board says browser and server purchase events get counted twice because there is no event ID deduplication. It is merged with other posts and has no status or timeline. DataCops sends each conversion from one place, and its delivery log shows one row per platform, so a double send is easy to spot.
Why is my HighLevel Google Ads conversion not sending?
The usual reasons, from HighLevel's own docs: the contact has no GCLID, GBRAID or WBRAID; the workflow uses a trigger other than the five supported ones (form, order, number pool call, survey, chat widget); or the conversion action name in the workflow does not match the one in Google Ads exactly. HighLevel shows no per-row reason, so you check each one by hand.
Does HighLevel send offline events to Meta?
Yes, for calls, opportunity status and tags. HighLevel says these use the last possible pixel data and only send if an fbclid exists on the contact. DataCops keeps click IDs on your own subdomain for 90 days.
Does HighLevel filter bots before sending conversions?
We found nothing about bot filtering in HighLevel's conversion docs. Whatever fills the form gets sent. DataCops puts a bot verdict on every website visit (bots, datacenter, VPN, proxy), and Real people only per platform keeps flagged visits out. It is off by default. Stages that come from the CRM carry no bot flag.
Does DataCops replace HighLevel?
No. DataCops runs on top of HighLevel. You keep your CRM, calendars and workflows. Install DataCops once for the agency, pick the clients, and it sends lead, booked, showed, won with value and paid to each client's ads.
Can I use HighLevel's Meta action and DataCops at the same time?
Yes, but not for the same event, or Meta counts it twice. Pick one sender per event. For example, let DataCops send the website and pipeline stages and switch the matching HighLevel actions off.
