The short answer
HockeyStack tells your team what worked. DataCops tells your ads, so they find more people who buy.
DataCops is a tool that makes the ads learn from real sales: it sends booked, showed, won and paid stages from your CRM back to your ad platforms, gives every visit a bot verdict with a Real people only switch per platform, warms up new campaigns with your existing customers, and logs every send. It is not an attribution report.
How DataCops does it:
- The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
- First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
- Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
- Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.
Best for: ad-funded businesses whose sales close in a CRM or on a call: clinics, home services, agencies, B2B and lead gen.
The alternatives at a glance:
- DataCops: best overall if you want better ad results. Booked, showed, won and paid sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, bots kept out, consent built in, published prices.
- Dreamdata: best like-for-like swap for B2B revenue attribution.
- Factors.ai: best for ABM teams who want published prices.
- Fibbler: best for LinkedIn Ads attribution on a small budget.
- Cometly: best for ad attribution plus conversion sync to many platforms.
Most people who search for a HockeyStack alternative start with the quote. There is no price on its site, and a third-party estimate puts it well over a thousand dollars a month. That matters. But it is not the biggest question.
The biggest question is who learns from the data. Every HockeyStack alternatives list compares dashboards to dashboards. This guide asks what happens after the dashboard.
You learned what worked. Your ads did not.
Attribution tools are built for people. They pull in your ad spend, your web visits and your CRM, and show you which campaign touched which account on the way to a deal. That is useful. You make better budget calls.
But the ad platform does not read your dashboard. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X pick who sees your next ad every hour, and they pick from what they were told. If all they were told is "form filled", they go find more people who fill in forms.
- The algorithm never sees the deal. HockeyStack's pages list ad integrations as sources of data. They do not mention sending booked, won or paid back to the ads.
- Bots count as leads. A dashboard can show a fake lead. The ad platform, if it hears about it, goes looking for more of them.
- A report changes a budget once a month. A conversion signal changes who clicks every day.
Think of it as two loops. In the first loop, a person reads a report and moves budget. That happens a few times a month. In the second loop, the ad platform reads a conversion and changes who it bids on. That happens all day, on every auction. Attribution tools feed the first loop. DataCops feeds the second.
What an attribution tool gives you
- Richer dashboards and buyer journeys
- Multi-touch models across channels
- In the wider category, media mix modelling and creative analytics
- A clear answer for the budget meeting
What DataCops gives your ads
- Booked, showed, won with value, and paid
- Each stage matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone
- Sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X
- Bots kept out before the ads learn from them
We will say it plainly: if your goal is the best report, an attribution tool wins. If your goal is cheaper buyers from the same budget, the algorithm has to see the buyers. You can run both.
Attribution makes you smarter. Sending the sale back makes your ads smarter. Only one of them spends your budget.
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. It is the second one. It keeps the ad click on your own domain, finds it again when the CRM says booked, showed, won or paid, and sends that stage to the platform that bought the click. Browse the other attribution comparisons: Hyros, Cometly, Triple Whale, Northbeam, Rockerbox, AnyTrack, LeadsBridge, Zapier offline conversions and HighLevel Conversion API.
The real difference: who learns from the data
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
The sale goes back to the ad
HockeyStack pulls your CRM in so you can see which deals came from which campaigns. That view stays inside HockeyStack.
DataCops pushes the other way. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients. Form leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, matched to the ad click. Any other CRM posts stages to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. See offline conversions.
Every visit gets a verdict
Bot filtering is not mentioned on HockeyStack's pricing or integrations pages. In a report, a bot lead is noise. Sent to an ad platform, it is a target.
DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies. Turn on Real people only for a platform and flagged visits never reach it. It is off by default and keeps about 99% of bots out when on. One honest limit: stages that come from your CRM carry no bot flag. See click fraud protection.
The click survives on your domain
To send a sale back, you need the click it came from. DataCops runs server-side from your own subdomain with one script and one DNS record, keeps click IDs for 90 days and remembers visitors up to 400 days (with consent in the EU). HockeyStack's site does not describe a first-party subdomain setup.
Consent is built in
We found no consent manager for your website in HockeyStack. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built to the IAB TCF v2.2 standard, and website events wait for consent before they are sent. Google Consent Mode v2 is on by default, and the server checks consent again before every send.
You can see why each event was sent
DataCops writes every conversion as a row per platform: sent, held, skipped or failed, with the reason. When a client asks why Meta got fewer leads last week, the answer is one row away. Each sale is counted once: the browser and the server share one event ID, and orders use the order ID. On the Organization plan, DataCops can also block known bad traffic at the Cloudflare edge and export refund evidence for Google's Click Quality Form. Google Ads actions are created as secondary, so nothing changes your bidding until you decide.
Where HockeyStack is simply better
Deep B2B multi-touch attribution, account-level buyer journeys and reporting. Native Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics. More ad sources for reporting, including X, Reddit, Bing and StackAdapt. Hands-on support with custom setups. If those reports are what you buy HockeyStack for, keep a reporting tool. DataCops covers the part that changes who clicks next: clean, consented, real conversions sent to eight ad platforms.
HockeyStack answers "what worked?". DataCops makes sure the ads hear the answer.
The real cost of a quote-only tool
HockeyStack does not publish a price. The bigger cost is in the questions below. Answer them with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your HockeyStack reports plus a separate way to send CRM stages to each ad platform before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. A great report of which ads worked does not change what the ads do tomorrow. If Meta only sees form fills, it keeps buying form fills, and cost per sale climbs while the dashboard looks busy.
The most expensive report is the one only humans read.
Every feature, side by side
Every job, side by side: what the rival does and what DataCops does for the same need.

1. DataCops: best HockeyStack alternative overall
DataCops is not a prettier dashboard. It is the tracking underneath: server-side from your own subdomain, a bot verdict on every visit, a consent manager built in, and the stages after the form sent back to the ad that bought the click. Your team still sees the click log. The difference is that Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X see the sale too.
Why people switch to it
- Booked, showed, won and paid sent to the ads
- Real people only keeps bots out
- Consent manager built in
- Published prices and a free plan
Worth knowing
- No multi-touch attribution or journey reports
- HighLevel native, other CRMs by webhook
Best for: teams who want their ads to get better, not just your reports.

2. Dreamdata: best like-for-like B2B swap
Dreamdata does the same job as HockeyStack: it joins your CRM, ads and website into B2B journeys and revenue attribution. If you like the reports and only want a different vendor, it is the most direct swap, and it has a free plan to start on.
The catch is the same as HockeyStack's. It is a reporting tool. Your team learns; whether the ad platforms do depends on what else you set up.
Why people switch to it
- Same kind of B2B attribution
- A free plan to try it
Worth knowing
- Paid plans are quote only
- Bots and consent not covered on its pricing page
Best for: teams who want HockeyStack-style reports from someone else.

3. Factors.ai: best for ABM with published prices
Factors.ai publishes what HockeyStack does not: prices. Plans run from 5,000 to 100,000 monthly tracked users and 3 to 25 seats. It is strong on account identification for ABM teams.
Read the tiers closely.
Why people switch to it
- Published prices
- Account identification for ABM
Worth knowing
- Multi-touch attribution is Enterprise only
- Audience sync is Enterprise only
Best for: ABM teams who want to see the price first.

4. Fibbler: best for LinkedIn Ads on a small budget
Fibbler does one thing: shows which LinkedIn Ads influenced your pipeline.
It is narrow on purpose.
Why people switch to it
- Low, published price
- Free trial without a card
Worth knowing
- LinkedIn first, Google as a paid add-on
- Meta not available yet
Best for: teams whose main channel is LinkedIn Ads on a tight budget.

5. Cometly: best for attribution plus conversion sync
Cometly is the one attribution tool here that also sends conversions back: to Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, Reddit and Snapchat.
Watch the plan details. Prices are quote only, there is no free trial, CRM sync is Enterprise only, and going over your pageviews moves you up a plan at the next billing period.
Why people switch to it
- Attribution and sync in one tool
- Seven ad platforms
Worth knowing
- No published price, no free trial
- CRM sync on Enterprise only
Best for: teams who want attribution reports and sync to many ad platforms. Full comparison: Cometly alternatives.
How to choose a HockeyStack alternative
- Ask who needs to learn. If it is your team, pick a reporting tool. If it is the ad platforms, you need the stages sent back.
- Check where your sales close. In a CRM or on a call? Then the ads need booked, showed and won, not just the form.
- Look at your traffic. If bots fill your forms, keep them out before anything learns from them.
- Count your platforms. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X? DataCops covers them all.
- Ask for the price first. A quote-only tool costs you a sales call before you know if it fits.
Pick DataCops if
- You want Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X to learn who actually buys.
- Your sales close after the form: a booking, a call, a visit, a signed deal.
- You run HighLevel, or an agency with many clients, and want published prices.
When not to use DataCops
- HockeyStack's account journeys are its real strength. If your board reads multi-touch reports every week, plan where those reports will live before you end the contract.
- You want an attribution dashboard. Reporting and modelling are what attribution tools are for. DataCops cleans and sends what goes into your ads; it is not a reporting layer.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody wants a journey map for its own sake. You want five things:
- Capture every lead, including the ones ad blockers and Safari hide.
- Know which ads bring buyers, not just form fills. HockeyStack does this for your team.
- Teach the ad platforms the same thing, so Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X find more buyers. HockeyStack's site does not mention this.
- Keep bots out, so neither you nor the ads learn from fake leads.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
The traditional way, with HockeyStack
- Book a demo and wait for a custom quote.
- Connect your CRM, ad accounts and website.
- Work with their team on custom setups for complex data.
- Read the journeys and move budget between campaigns.
- Set up a separate tool to send CRM stages to each ad platform.
- Buy a consent banner and wire it in.
- Handle bot leads and deletion requests somewhere else.
With DataCops
- Add one script and one DNS record.
- Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X with one click each, and Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key.
- Connect HighLevel, or your CRM by webhook.
- Switch on the consent manager.
- Switch on Real people only.
Then the ads learn by themselves. Every booked call and won deal goes back to the click that paid for it.
HockeyStack gives you the map. DataCops puts the sale in front of the algorithm that drives.
Why people leave HockeyStack
HockeyStack is a strong B2B reporting tool. People leave for reasons around it.
- No public price. You book a demo to find out what it costs, and there is no free plan.
- It reports, it does not feed. Its site does not mention sending offline stages back to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or LinkedIn.
- Bots are not mentioned. Nothing on its pricing or integrations pages says it filters bot traffic.
- Consent is yours to solve. We found no consent manager for your site in its product.
- Built for B2B SaaS. Clinics, home services and agencies on HighLevel are not who it is shaped for.
Offline conversions: what a dashboard cannot send
The website collects the lead. The money comes later. Here is what DataCops sends back to the ads, by industry.
| Business | What the pixel sees | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| B2B and SaaS | Demo request, signup | Qualified lead, trial, paid, by webhook |
| Agencies running client ads | Form fills per client | Every client's booked, showed, won and paid |
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Booking form | Booked, showed, treatment paid |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote request | Estimate booked, job won with its value |
| Legal, finance, high-ticket services | Enquiry | Consult booked, client signed |
From HighLevel natively, or any CRM by webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Each sale is matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone.
- A visitor clicks your ad. DataCops keeps the click ID on your own domain.
- The lead books, shows up or buys in your CRM, days or weeks later.
- DataCops finds the original click the lead came from.
- The stage goes to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Each one shows in the delivery log with its reason.
B2B team with a long sales cycle? Signups through Sign in with Google often lose the ad click. SignupCops keeps it, and holds risky signups back.
Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays
HockeyStack tells you which touchpoints led to revenue. It does not tell the ad platforms who your customers are, so new campaigns learn from scratch. The customers you already have are the best description of who to find.
Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:
- Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
- See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
- Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
- Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.
Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What else a reporting tool never does
- Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
- Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
- Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
- Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
- Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.
Meta health and wellness restrictions
If you advertise a clinic, a treatment, a supplement or anything health related, Meta may restrict the events it accepts from you. What usually gets an account restricted is the data itself: the page link names the treatment, the event is called Book_Implant_Consult, the form sends symptoms.
With HockeyStack, this is not its job. It reads your data for reports, and its site does not describe controls for what reaches Meta. Whatever tool sends your events has to handle it.
With DataCops, you switch on health mode. It sends only an approved list of fields and blocks everything else. Page links are cut to the domain and event names go neutral, so Lead becomes L_1. A field that is not on the list is not sent.
Read more on Meta health and wellness restrictions.
Setup, step by step, side by side
HockeyStack steps come from its pricing page and the usual attribution rollout. DataCops steps are what you do in the dashboard.

"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald
What to know before you switch
- HockeyStack's account journeys are its real strength. If your board reads multi-touch reports every week, plan where those reports will live before you end the contract.
- Your Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics stages move to a webhook. Map one deal stage per event (booked, showed, won, paid), send it directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n, and DataCops matches it to the original ad click. HighLevel connects natively.
- Setup tip: send won deals with their value first. B2B cycles are long, so the ads learn most from the few deals that close. Add booked and showed once the won stage looks right in the delivery log.
Moving from HockeyStack to DataCops
- Add DataCops to your site. One script and one DNS record.
- Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X with one click each, and Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key. Google Ads actions start as secondary, so bidding does not move until you decide.
- Connect your CRM, HighLevel natively or any other by webhook, so booked, showed, won and paid flow to the ads.
- Compare for a few weeks in each ad platform: match quality, stages received, and what was skipped as bots.
- End the HockeyStack contract at renewal.
Every DataCops product mentioned here
- Offline conversions: CRM stages back to your ads.
- HighLevel conversion tracking and DataCops for agencies.
- Server-side tracking and first-party analytics.
- Meta Conversions API, Google Ads conversion tracking, TikTok Events API, LinkedIn Conversions API, plus Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
- Click fraud protection, SignupCops, Ads Warmup.
- Consent manager and health mode.
HockeyStack alternatives: FAQ
Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?
Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
When should I keep HockeyStack instead of switching?
HockeyStack's account journeys are its real strength. If your board reads multi-touch reports every week, plan where those reports will live before you end the contract.
What is the best HockeyStack alternative?
DataCops. It replaces HockeyStack and the rest of the tracking stack in one tool: bots kept out, a built-in consent banner, and it sends lead, booked, showed, won and paid back to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, matched to the ad click, so the ad platforms learn who buys. If you only want the same B2B attribution reports, Dreamdata is the closest swap.
Does HockeyStack send conversions back to Meta or Google Ads?
Its pricing and integrations pages do not mention sending offline conversions such as booked calls or won deals back to ad platforms. Its ad integrations read as data pulled in for reporting. Ask HockeyStack directly if this matters to you. DataCops sends those stages to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X by design.
What is the difference between attribution and conversion tracking?
Attribution tells you which ads and touches led to a deal. Conversion tracking tells the ad platform. The first improves your decisions. The second improves the algorithm, which picks who sees your ads every hour of every day. You can have both, but only the second changes who clicks next.
Does DataCops do multi-touch attribution?
No. DataCops keeps a click log in its first-party analytics so you can see what happened to each ad click, but it is not a multi-touch attribution or account journey tool. If you need those reports, HockeyStack, Dreamdata or Factors.ai do them better.
Does DataCops work with Salesforce or HubSpot?
HighLevel is native: install once for the agency and pick the clients. Any other CRM, including Salesforce and HubSpot, sends its stages to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. HockeyStack has native Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics connections, so it wins on CRM integrations.
Does HockeyStack filter bots?
Bot filtering is not mentioned on its pricing or integrations pages. DataCops puts a verdict on every visit (bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs, proxies) and, with Real people only on for a platform, keeps flagged visits out of it. It is off by default and keeps about 99% of bots out when on.
Can I run DataCops and HockeyStack together?
Yes. They do different jobs. HockeyStack reports to your team, DataCops reports to your ad platforms. Many teams keep an attribution tool for the board meeting and add conversion tracking so the ads improve.
