The short answer
AdBeacon reports to you. DataCops reports to your ads, so Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X learn who actually buys.
DataCops is a tool that makes the ads learn from real sales: it sends booked, showed, won and paid stages from your CRM back to your ad platforms, gives every visit a bot verdict with a Real people only switch per platform, warms up new campaigns with your existing customers, and logs every send. It is not an attribution report.
How DataCops does it:
- The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
- First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
- Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
- Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.
Best for: ad-funded businesses whose sales close in a CRM or on a call: clinics, home services, agencies, B2B and lead gen.
The alternatives at a glance:
- DataCops: best overall if you want better ads, not another dashboard. Server-side conversions, bots kept out, consent built in, and CRM stages sent to your ads.
- Triple Whale: best for a Shopify all-in-one dashboard.
- Northbeam: best for large brands wanting multi-touch plus MMM.
- Wicked Reports: best for subscription brands that care about LTV.
- Cometly: best for attribution and a conversion feed in one tool.
Most people who look for an AdBeacon alternative are not unhappy with the charts. They are unhappy that the charts did not change the results. AdBeacon shows you which ad sold. Then Meta keeps spending the same way, because Meta never saw that report.
A report the ads never read
This is the whole page in one idea. There are two different jobs in ad tracking:
- Tell you what worked. That is attribution. A dashboard, for a human.
- Tell the ads what worked. That is conversion tracking. A feed, for the algorithm.
AdBeacon does the first job, and it is clear about it. Its own site says it does not route conversion data back into Meta's or Google's optimisation. It sells itself as an independent check.
That is an honest position. But here is the problem. The algorithm spends your money, not you. If Meta only sees a partial, blocked, bot-filled picture, it keeps finding more of the wrong people. You can read a perfect report every morning and still watch the ads drift.
DataCops does the second job. It sends every real conversion server-side from your own domain, keeps bots out, checks consent, and, for businesses that close later, sends the stage (booked, showed, won, paid) matched to the original click. The ads learn from what actually made you money.
A dashboard makes you smarter. A clean conversion feed makes the ads smarter. Only one of them spends your budget.
To be fair: if you sell on Shopify, your purchases already reach Meta and Google through their own apps. The edge there is softer. It is about what else rides along (bots, events without consent, purchases lost to blockers) and not having to babysit another dashboard. For lead businesses, the edge is huge: the ads have never seen a booked call or a won deal.
The real difference: who learns from the data
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
The ads get the conversions
AdBeacon reads your Shopify orders and your ad accounts and shows you the match. Nothing goes back.
DataCops sends conversions server-side from your own subdomain to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn. Ad blockers and Safari do not strip them. Click IDs are kept 90 days, and visitors are remembered up to 400 days (with consent in the EU).
Every visit gets a verdict
We found no bot filtering on AdBeacon's site. That makes sense for a reporting tool. It matters a lot for a feed.
DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies, and turns it into one switch per ad platform (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and flagged visits never reach Meta. When it is on, about 99% of bots are kept out. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies.
The sale happens after the form
AdBeacon works from Shopify orders. That is fine if the checkout is the sale. For a clinic, an agency, a high-ticket service or a B2B team, the money comes later: the booked call, the show-up, the deal marked won.
DataCops is built around that moment. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients. Leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to each client's ads, matched to the click. Any other CRM posts to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. Read more on offline conversions and HighLevel conversion tracking.
Consent is built in
We found no consent manager on AdBeacon's site. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built to the IAB TCF v2.2 standard, served from your own domain. Website events wait for consent before they are sent.
Visitors are remembered longer
Safari and ad blockers cut browser cookies short, so a buyer who comes back in two weeks looks like a stranger. DataCops keeps click IDs for 90 days and a first-party visitor cookie for up to 400 days (in the EU, only with consent). The sale still gets matched to the ad that started it.
Know what happens when you go over your plan
DataCops counts sessions the way Google Analytics does: one visit, and a new one after 30 minutes of no activity. If you go over your plan, extra sessions are skipped until you upgrade or the month resets. No surprise bill. AdBeacon's price rises with your tracked revenue instead.
You can see why each event was sent
AdBeacon shows attributed revenue. DataCops shows delivery: every conversion is a row per platform (sent, held, skipped or failed) with the reason next to it. When a client asks why conversions dropped, the answer is in the row.
Privacy and data deletion are built in
Visitors can ask for deletion through a form on your privacy page: they confirm by email, their session data is anonymised, and a status page shows what was done. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are acted on automatically. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days, and the identity store holds hashed emails and phones only. Google Ads deletions are still a manual step on your side. We found none of this described on AdBeacon's site.
AdBeacon tells you what the ads did. DataCops changes what they do next.
The real cost of a cheap tool
The rest is in these questions. Answer them with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your conversion feeds to Meta, Google and TikTok alongside AdBeacon before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. A report you read does not change what the algorithm learned yesterday. If the ads only see part of your sales, or see bots as buyers, they keep optimising toward the wrong people, and your cost per sale climbs.
Knowing which ad worked is useful. Making sure the ad platform knows is what pays.

1. DataCops: best AdBeacon alternative overall
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to 8 ad platforms: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Conversions go server-side from your own domain. Every visit gets a bot verdict. Consent is checked by a built-in manager. And the stages after the click come from your CRM, matched to the original ad.
Why people switch to it
- The ads learn from clean conversions
- Real people only keeps bots out of each platform
- Booked, showed, won and paid from HighLevel or any CRM
- Much lower entry price
Worth knowing
- No profit, creative or MMM dashboards
- Amazon Ads is not a destination
- Real people only is off until you switch it on
Best for: people who want the ads to get better, not just the report.

2. Triple Whale: best Shopify all-in-one dashboard
Triple Whale is the closest like-for-like swap. It is a Shopify dashboard for ad spend, profit and attribution, with a free Founders Dash to start. Its paid plans (Foundation, Automate, Enterprise) are priced on a slider by yearly GMV, with no fixed number listed.
If you leave AdBeacon because you want more charts, this is where you go. If you leave because the ads are not improving, a bigger dashboard does not fix that.
Why people switch to it
- Free plan to start
- Broad Shopify reporting
Worth knowing
- Price grows with GMV
- Still a dashboard for you, built for stores
Best for: a bigger Shopify dashboard. See our Triple Whale alternatives.

3. Northbeam: best for large brands wanting MMM
Northbeam is the heavier option. Multi-touch attribution plus media mix modelling, for DTC brands with big budgets.
It is a step up in analysis from AdBeacon, and a big step up in price. It is still a tool for the people reading reports.
Why people switch to it
- Deep multi-touch and MMM
- Built for large ad budgets
Worth knowing
- Five times AdBeacon's entry price
- Built for ecommerce
Best for: brands that spend seven figures and want serious modelling. See our Northbeam alternatives.

4. Wicked Reports: best for subscription and LTV
Wicked Reports tracks the customer over time, which suits subscription brands where the first order is not the whole story.
That feed covers Meta. For the other ad platforms with bots filtered and consent checked, you still need more.
Why people switch to it
- Lifetime value reporting
- Optional Meta conversion feed
Worth knowing
- Higher entry price
- The Meta feed costs extra below Maximize
Best for: brands whose main question is LTV. See our Wicked Reports alternatives.

5. Cometly: best for attribution and a feed in one
Cometly does both jobs: an attribution dashboard and a server-side conversion API to Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, Reddit and Snapchat. Pricing is usage-based by monthly pageviews, with no number on the page.
It is the right answer if you want the report and the feed from one vendor. Its pricing page does not list a per-platform bot switch or a consent manager.
Why people switch to it
- Dashboard and feed together
- Seven ad platforms
Worth knowing
- No published price
- No bot switch or consent manager listed
Best for: attribution and a feed from one tool. See our Cometly alternatives.
Also compared: Wicked Reports, CustomerLabs, Ruler Analytics, Sourceloop, Attribution App, SegMetrics, Tracify, Dreamdata, SegmentStream, Admetrics, Polar Analytics and Madgicx.
How to choose an AdBeacon alternative
Pick DataCops if
- You want Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X to learn from clean, real conversions.
- Your sales close after the form: a booking, a call, a visit, a signed deal.
- Bots, consent or ad blockers are hurting what your ads see.
When not to use DataCops
- AdBeacon is a reporting tool. Its profit, SKU and creative dashboards and MMM are its real strength. DataCops focuses on making the ads learn from clean, real conversions.
- You want an attribution dashboard. Reporting and modelling are what attribution tools are for. DataCops cleans and sends what goes into your ads; it is not a reporting layer.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody buys attribution for the charts. You want five things:
- Capture every sale, including the ones ad blockers and Safari hide.
- Send them to your ad platforms, so all 8 ad platforms learn who buys.
- Include the sales that happen later, on a call, in a clinic, in your CRM.
- Keep bots out, so the platforms do not learn from fake visits.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
AdBeacon helps you see what happened. DataCops is the machine that makes the next click better. Here is the same goal, done both ways.
The traditional way, with AdBeacon
- Connect Shopify and your ad accounts to AdBeacon.
- Read the dashboard and decide which ads won.
- Move budget by hand in each ad platform.
- Set up the Meta, Google and TikTok feeds separately, with another tool.
- Buy a consent banner elsewhere.
- Handle bots, if at all, with yet another tool.
- Repeat every morning, because the ads still optimise on their own view.
With DataCops
- Add one script and one DNS record.
- Connect each ad platform with one click.
- Switch on the consent manager.
- Switch on Real people only.
- Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook, if you sell after the click.
Then let the ads do the work. They learn from clean conversions without you moving budget by hand.
AdBeacon gives you a better scoreboard. DataCops gives the player better information.
Why people leave AdBeacon
AdBeacon does what it promises. People leave for reasons outside the dashboard.
- The ads never learn from it. By its own design, conversions are not sent back to Meta or Google.
- Built for Shopify stores. Lead businesses, clinics and agencies with CRM pipelines are not the focus.
- No bot filtering. We found none on its site, so bot traffic stays in whatever feeds your ads.
- No LinkedIn. Not listed as an integration.
- Another dashboard to read. Someone has to turn the report into budget moves, every day.
Offline conversions: the sale AdBeacon never sees
AdBeacon is built on Shopify orders. Many businesses do not sell at a checkout. The website collects the lead. The money comes later. Here is what DataCops sends, by industry.
| Business | What the pixel sees | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Booking form | Booked, showed, treatment paid |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote request | Estimate booked, job won with its value |
| Agencies running client ads | Form fills per client | Every client's booked, showed, won and paid |
| B2B and SaaS | Demo request, signup | Qualified lead, won, paid, by webhook |
| Stores that sell on the phone or on credit | Checkout started | The order that was actually paid |
From HighLevel natively, or any CRM by webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Each sale is matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone.
- A visitor clicks your ad. DataCops keeps the click ID on your own domain.
- The lead books, shows up or buys in your CRM, days or weeks later.
- DataCops finds the original click by the lead's email or phone.
- The stage goes to your ad platforms, counted once.
Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays
AdBeacon tells you which touchpoints led to revenue. It does not tell the ad platforms who your customers are, so new campaigns learn from scratch. The customers you already have are the best description of who to find.
Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:
- Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
- See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
- Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
- Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.
Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What else a reporting tool never does
- Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
- Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
- Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
- Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
- Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.
Setup, step by step, side by side
Both tools are quick to start. The difference is what each setup gets you.
| The job | ||
|---|---|---|
| Get started | Connect Shopify and your ad accounts. Their site says under 15 minutes. | Add one script to your site head and one DNS record. |
| Send conversions to Meta | Not its job. You need another tool or app. | Click Connect Meta and sign in. Fields and deduplication are handled. |
| Send conversions to LinkedIn | Not listed. | Click Connect LinkedIn. |
| Handle consent | Bring a consent banner from another vendor. | Switch on the built-in consent manager (IAB TCF v2.2). |
| Keep bots out | Not built in, going by its site. | Switch on Real people only for each platform. |
| Send a CRM sale | Not built in. Shopify orders only. | Install once on HighLevel and pick the clients, or post the sale to your webhook. |
| Act on the results | Read the dashboard, move budget by hand. | The ads learn from the conversions directly. |
"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald

AdBeacon alternatives: FAQ
Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?
Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
When should I keep AdBeacon instead of switching?
AdBeacon is a reporting tool. Its profit, SKU and creative dashboards and MMM are its real strength. DataCops focuses on making the ads learn from clean, real conversions.
What is the best AdBeacon alternative?
DataCops. It replaces AdBeacon and the rest of the tracking stack in one tool: it sends your conversions server-side to 8 ad platforms (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X), keeps bots out, runs a built-in consent banner, and adds the stages that happen after the click, like booked, showed, won and paid. If all you want is a bigger Shopify dashboard, Triple Whale or Northbeam are the closest swaps.
Does AdBeacon send conversions to Meta and Google?
No, and it says so on purpose. AdBeacon's own site says it does not route conversion data back into Meta's or Google's optimisation. It positions itself as an independent check on what the platforms report. DataCops does the opposite job: it sends conversions to the ad platforms so their algorithms learn who buys.
Can I use AdBeacon and DataCops together?
Yes. They do different jobs. AdBeacon reports on what worked. DataCops feeds the ad platforms clean, first-party conversions. Many teams will want the report and the feed. If the budget only allows one, ask which problem costs you more: not knowing, or ads that learn from bad data.
Does AdBeacon filter bots?
We found no bot filtering on its home or pricing pages. DataCops puts a verdict on every visit (bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs, proxies) and, with Real people only switched on for a platform, keeps flagged visits out of that platform. It is off by default.
Does AdBeacon work for lead generation or HighLevel?
AdBeacon is built around ecommerce and Shopify orders. We found no HighLevel link, no CRM webhook and no lead or booked-call stages on its site. DataCops installs once on your HighLevel agency and sends lead, booked, showed, won with value and paid to the ads. Any other CRM posts to a private webhook.
Does AdBeacon have a consent manager?
We found none on its site. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built to the IAB TCF v2.2 standard, and website events wait for consent before they are sent.
Which ad platforms does DataCops send to?
8 ad platforms: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X connect with one-click sign-in. Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest connect with an API key. Microsoft uses its UET Conversions API, which is a Microsoft pilot: ask your Microsoft account manager to turn it on.
