The 5 best CustomerLabs alternatives in 2026

CustomerLabs is a customer data platform. Most people buy it for one thing: better ad results. We compared five alternatives on setup, bots, consent, CRM stages and price.

The short answer

CustomerLabs collects and organises your customer data. DataCops makes sure the ads learn from the right people, and from the sales that happen after the form.

DataCops is a tool that makes the ads learn from real sales: it sends booked, showed, won and paid stages from your CRM back to your ad platforms, gives every visit a bot verdict with a Real people only switch per platform, warms up new campaigns with your existing customers, and logs every send. It is not an attribution report.

How DataCops does it:

  • The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
  • First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
  • Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
  • Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.

Best for: ad-funded businesses whose sales close in a CRM or on a call: clinics, home services, agencies, B2B and lead gen.

The alternatives at a glance:

  • DataCops: best for anyone who wants tracking that just works. One script, bots kept out, consent built in, and booked, showed, won and paid sent to your ads.
  • Hyros: best for info and high-ticket sellers who want attribution reports.
  • WeTracked: best for a small Shopify or WooCommerce store.
  • Segment: best for developer teams that want a full CDP.
  • Elevar: best for Shopify stores that want server-side tracking done for them.

Most people who look for a CustomerLabs alternative start with the bill. But the bill is rarely the real issue. The real question is what you bought a data platform for.

For most teams, the answer is simple: they want Meta and Google to find more buyers. A CDP can do that, but only after you build sources, workflows and segments on top of it. That is the argument of this page.

Data platform or tracking solution?

A customer data platform is a warehouse for people. It collects events, joins them into profiles, builds segments and ships them to many tools. That is powerful. It is also a job: someone has to design it, map it and keep it running.

Most attribution and data tools share one blind spot. They tell you what worked. The ad platform never learns. Your dashboard knows the lead became a paying client. Meta still thinks it was a form fill, so it keeps finding more form fillers.

CustomerLabs does send conversions back, and it is honest to say so. The difference is how you get there. With CustomerLabs you configure the pieces. With DataCops the job is the product: capture the click on your own domain, check the visit is a real person, check consent, and send the stage (booked, showed, won, paid) back to the ad matched to that click.

What Meta learns from one lead
Pixel onlyForm filled
Attribution dashboardYou see it paid. Meta does not.
DataCopsBooked, showed, won, paid

Why does that matter? The algorithm finds more of whatever you tell it counts. Tell it "form fill" and it finds form fillers. Tell it "paid, with this value" and it goes looking for buyers.

Where does that leave e-commerce? The edge is softer there, and we will say so. Purchases already reach the ads from checkout. For a store, DataCops earns its place in other ways: bots kept out, consent checked, the click captured first-party, and no dashboard to babysit.

A CDP gives you every tool to teach the ads. DataCops just teaches them.

The real difference: the ads learn from real buyers

Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.

Nothing to design

CustomerLabs is flexible because you shape it. You decide the sources, the events, the identity rules and the segments. That flexibility is also the work.

DataCops has one shape. You add one script and one DNS record, connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X with one click each, and Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key, and events arrive server-side from your own subdomain with the fields each platform wants.

Every visit gets a verdict

A data platform collects what arrives. If bots fill your forms, those leads become profiles, and the profiles become conversions and audiences. We saw no bot, VPN or datacenter check on CustomerLabs' home or pricing page.

DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for a platform and flagged visits never reach it. With it on, about 99% of bots are kept out. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies. One honest limit: sales sent from your CRM carry no bot flag.

HighLevel, installed once

CustomerLabs connects HighLevel through a webhook and a workflow, as its own docs show. For an agency, that is setup per client.

DataCops installs once on your HighLevel agency. Pick the clients, and lead, booked, showed, won with its value and paid go to each client's Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, matched to the ad click. Cancelled, no-show and lost are never sent. Any other CRM posts to a private webhook. Read more on HighLevel conversion tracking.

Consent is built in

CustomerLabs mentions consent management, GDPR and CCPA. We did not see an IAB TCF v2.2 consent manager of its own on the pages we checked. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager on IAB TCF v2.2, and website events wait for consent before they are sent. The visitor cookie lasts up to 400 days, and in the EU that still needs consent.

You can see why each event was sent

DataCops writes every conversion as a row per platform: sent, held, skipped or failed, with the reason next to it. When a client asks why conversions dropped, you open the row. We did not see a log like this on CustomerLabs' home or pricing page.

Privacy and data deletion are built in

Visitors can ask to be deleted from a form on your privacy page. They confirm by email, their session is anonymised, and a status page shows what was done. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are handled automatically. Google Ads deletions are still manual. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days, and the identity store holds hashed email and phone only.

The real cost of a cheap tool

The real cost is in the questions nobody asks before they buy. Answer them with your own numbers.

What is one hour of your team's time worth? $ / hour
1

How many hours will it take to build your CustomerLabs sources, workflows, destinations and HighLevel webhooks before the first sale is tracked?

With DataCopsAdd a script and a DNS record, connect your ad accounts. No container to build.
2

How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?

With DataCopsPlatform changes are handled for you. Nothing to open, nothing to fix.
3

If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?

With DataCopsThe health view shows every event sent, and why, so a gap does not hide for a week.
4

How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?

sales a month
With DataCopsBooked, showed, won and paid go back to the ads, matched to the click, so they learn who buys.
Fill in your own numbers. Only you know what an hour and a lead are worth to your business.

The last question matters most. When the ads only see form fills, they learn to find people who fill in forms, not people who buy. Lead quality drops and cost per sale climbs.

A data platform you never finish setting up is the most expensive tool you pay for.

1. DataCops: best CustomerLabs alternative overall

One script · 8 ad platforms

DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Nothing to design, nothing to map.

Why people switch to it

  • One script instead of a platform to configure
  • Real people only keeps bots out of each platform
  • HighLevel installed once for every client
  • Consent manager included, lower price

Worth knowing

  • Real people only is off until you switch it on
  • Edge blocking and refund evidence are on Organization

Best for: DataCops, if you want the ads to learn who buys, without running a CDP.

2. Hyros: best for info and high-ticket sellers

Ad attribution · pricing not public on its site when we checked

Hyros is built for course creators, coaches and high-ticket offers. It tracks calls and sales back to ads and reports what worked. It is a reporting tool first: great for you, and the ads only learn what you choose to send.

Why people switch to it

  • Made for info and high-ticket funnels
  • Attribution reports on calls and sales

Worth knowing

  • No public price found
  • A reporting tool more than a tracking fix

Best for: Hyros, if you sell high-ticket offers and want deep attribution reports. See the Hyros comparison.

3. WeTracked: best for a small online store

Shopify and WooCommerce

WeTracked does server-side tracking for stores.

Why people switch to it

  • Made for Shopify and WooCommerce
  • Clear order-based pricing

Worth knowing

  • Store-only, no lead or CRM stages
  • Price climbs with orders

Best for: WeTracked, if you run a small store and only need purchases sent.

4. Segment: best for developer teams

Developer CDP · check segment.com for current pricing

Segment is the CDP developers know. If you want CustomerLabs' power with more control and have engineers to build it, it is the natural step up. It moves data well. Deciding what the ads should learn is still your job.

Why people switch to it

  • Huge catalogue of sources and destinations
  • Full control for engineers

Worth knowing

  • Needs developers
  • Bots, consent and CRM stages to ads are yours to build

Best for: Segment, if you have engineers and want a full CDP. See the Segment comparison.

5. Elevar: best for Shopify server-side tracking

Shopify server-side tracking · check getelevar.com/pricing for current pricing

Elevar is a well-known Shopify tracking app. It sends store events server-side to many destinations. It fits stores whose sales happen at checkout, not in a CRM.

Why people switch to it

  • Deep Shopify focus
  • Many destinations for stores

Worth knowing

  • Shopify only
  • No lead or CRM stage tracking focus

Best for: Elevar, if you run Shopify and want store tracking handled. See the Elevar comparison.

How to choose a CustomerLabs alternative

  1. Ask what you actually need. Audiences and profiles for many tools? That is a data platform. Ads that learn who buys? That is tracking.
  2. Check where your sales close. If they close in a CRM or on a call, you need the stages after the form sent back to the ads.
  3. Look at your traffic. If bots fill your forms, you want them kept out before the ads learn from them.
  4. Count your destinations. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X? DataCops covers them.

Pick DataCops if

  • Your sales close after the form: a booking, a call, a signed deal.
  • You or your agency run HighLevel and want it installed once.
  • Bots fill your forms, or you want consent and a delivery log built in.

When not to use DataCops

  • CustomerLabs is a data platform. Its strength is audiences and profiles synced to a long list of destinations. If you use it to feed many non-ad tools, that part stays its job.
  • You want an attribution dashboard. Reporting and modelling are what attribution tools are for. DataCops cleans and sends what goes into your ads; it is not a reporting layer.

What's your actual goal?

Nobody wants a data platform for its own sake. You want five things:

  1. Capture every lead and sale, including the ones ad blockers and Safari hide.
  2. Send them to your ad platforms, so Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X learn who buys.
  3. Include the sales that happen offline, on a call, in a clinic, in your CRM.
  4. Keep bots out, so the platforms do not learn from fake leads.
  5. Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.

Here is the same goal, done both ways.

The traditional way, with CustomerLabs

  1. Add the tracking script and set up your first-party domain.
  2. Configure sources and map the events you care about.
  3. Set up identity rules and check profiles merge correctly.
  4. Connect each destination and map its fields.
  5. Build workflows for CRM stages, including a HighLevel webhook per client.
  6. Build audience segments and decide what syncs where.
  7. Bring or wire a consent setup.
  8. Watch your usage units each month.

With DataCops

  1. Add one script and one DNS record.
  2. Connect each ad platform with one click.
  3. Switch on the consent manager.
  4. Switch on Real people only.
  5. Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook.

Then run your business. Click IDs and the fields each platform wants are handled for you.

CustomerLabs gives you a data platform to run. DataCops does the tracking, so you can focus on what makes money.

Why people leave CustomerLabs

CustomerLabs is a capable product. People leave for reasons around it, not because it is broken.

  • It is a platform to set up. Sources, identity, workflows, segments and destinations all need configuring.
  • HighLevel is manual. Its own docs connect it by webhook and workflow, not a native agency app.
  • Agency plans cap accounts. 5 accounts on Agency Lite, 10 on Agency Premium.
  • Bots are not part of the story. We saw no bot, VPN or datacenter verdict on its home or pricing page.
  • Many teams use a fraction of it. If you only need 8 ad platforms fed well, a CDP is more than you need.

Offline conversions, by industry

Both tools send offline conversions, so this is not a gap for CustomerLabs. It also handles in-store and phone orders, which is a real strength. The difference is effort: DataCops sends lead-business stages with no workflow to build. Here is what that looks like.

Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays

CustomerLabs tells you which touchpoints led to revenue. It does not tell the ad platforms who your customers are, so new campaigns learn from scratch. The customers you already have are the best description of who to find.

Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:

  1. Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
  2. See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
  3. Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
  4. Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.

Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.

What else a reporting tool never does

  • Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
  • Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
  • Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
  • Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
  • Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.

Meta health and wellness restrictions

If you advertise a clinic, a treatment or a supplement, Meta may restrict the events it accepts from you. What gets an account restricted is usually the data itself: a page link that names the treatment, an event called Book_Implant_Consult, a form that sends symptoms.

With CustomerLabs, we did not see a health mode on its site. Keeping that data out means shaping each event and field yourself.

With DataCops, you switch on health mode. It sends only a short approved list of fields. Page links are cut to the domain and event names go neutral, so Lead becomes L_1.

"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."

What to know before you switch

  • CustomerLabs is a data platform. Its strength is audiences and profiles synced to a long list of destinations. If you use it to feed many non-ad tools, that part stays its job.
  • Moving is mostly about your CRM stages. Rebuild the offline stages you send from CustomerLabs as DataCops CRM sends (HighLevel, or the webhook for anything else), so the sale goes back to the ad that brought it.
  • Setup tip: start with the bot verdicts. Run DataCops for a week, read which form fills were bots or datacenter traffic, then switch on Real people only for the platforms where it matters.

Whatever you switch from, DataCops runs the whole chain in one tool: sends to 8 ad platforms (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X), Real people only per platform (off by default), a built-in consent banner with Google Consent Mode v2 and a server re-check before every send, CRM sales sent back to the ads, a delivery log with a reason for every row, and each conversion counted once by event ID or order ID. On the Organization plan you also get Cloudflare edge blocking and Google refund evidence.

Moving from CustomerLabs without losing tracking

  1. Add DataCops next to CustomerLabs. One script and one DNS record.
  2. Connect the same ad accounts, and send each conversion from one place only, so it is not sent twice.
  3. Compare for two weeks in Meta Events Manager and Google Ads.
  4. Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook for the stages.
  5. Switch off the CustomerLabs destinations when the numbers look right. Keep it if you still use its audiences.

CustomerLabs alternatives: FAQ

Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?

Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.

When should I keep CustomerLabs instead of switching?

CustomerLabs is a data platform. Its strength is audiences and profiles synced to a long list of destinations. If you use it to feed many non-ad tools, that part stays its job.

What is the best CustomerLabs alternative?

DataCops, for most ad-funded businesses. It replaces CustomerLabs and the rest of the stack: one script, a bot verdict on every visit, a built-in consent manager, server-side sends to 8 ad platforms, and your CRM sales matched to the ad click. Other picks depend on the job. If you want a full customer data platform with audiences and 200+ destinations, a CDP like CustomerLabs or Segment fits. If what you actually want is for Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X to learn who buys, DataCops does that with one script: bots kept out, consent built in, and CRM stages like booked, showed, won and paid sent back to the ads.

Does CustomerLabs filter bots?

We did not see a bot, VPN or datacenter verdict, or a switch to keep bots away from an ad platform, on its home or pricing page. DataCops gives every visit a verdict and, with Real people only switched on for a platform, keeps flagged visits out of it. It is off by default.

Does CustomerLabs work with HighLevel?

Yes, through a webhook and a workflow you set up, as its own docs describe. DataCops has a native HighLevel app: install once for the agency, pick the clients, and lead, booked, showed, won with value and paid go to each client's ads.

Can DataCops build audiences like CustomerLabs?

No. CustomerLabs builds audience segments by lifecycle and value and syncs them to ad platforms. DataCops does not build segments. It sends conversions and stages, and Ads Warmup lets you upload up to 20,000 past customers once to warm up new ad accounts.

Does DataCops send offline conversions?

Yes. HighLevel natively, and any other CRM by private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Each sale is matched to the original ad click by email or phone and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.

Which ad platforms does DataCops send to?

Eight: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X connect with one click. Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest connect with an API key. Microsoft Ads uses its UET Conversions API, which Microsoft runs as a pilot, so ask your Microsoft account manager to turn it on.

Does DataCops include a consent manager?

Yes, a first-party consent manager built on IAB TCF v2.2. Website events wait for consent before they are sent. CustomerLabs mentions consent management in general terms; we did not see a TCF v2.2 manager of its own on the pages we checked.
