The short answer
Bouncer checks the mailbox. DataCops checks the visitor, the ad click and what your ads learn from the lead.
DataCops is a tool for the ad side of signup fraud: it gives every visit a bot verdict, checks each signup email, keeps flagged signups from reaching your ad platforms, sends the real sale back to the click, and lets you warm up new campaigns with your existing customers.
How DataCops does it:
- Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
- The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
- First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
- Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.
Best for: ad-funded SaaS and lead gen teams, agencies, and anyone whose signups come from paid campaigns and whose fakes are polluting the ads.
The alternatives at a glance:
- DataCops: best for teams whose fake leads are costing ad money. A lead form that rejects fakes, a bot verdict on every visit, and conversions held until your CRM confirms the lead.
- ZeroBounce: best for an all-in-one email suite.
- IPQualityScore: best for fraud scores across IP, email and phone by API.
- Emailable: best for cheap, simple bulk checks.
- Clearout: best for real-time form checks plus bulk.
Most people find Bouncer because their lists bounce, or because their forms fill up with junk. For the first job, Bouncer is good and cheap. For the second, it answers the wrong question.
Every Bouncer alternatives list compares accuracy rates and price per credit. Few of them ask what happens to a fake lead after it passes the check. That is what this guide is about.
A valid email is not a real lead
An email validator asks one thing: can this address receive mail? That is useful before you send a campaign. It is the wrong test for a lead from a paid ad.
A bot can type a real address. A form spammer can paste a stolen one. A competitor can fill your form with their own working inbox. Every one of those passes an email check, because the mailbox is real. The person is not.
And the damage does not stop at your CRM. The moment the form is sent, your pixel tells Meta or Google Ads you got a lead. The platform learns from it and goes looking for more people like that. Clean the list later and the ads have already learned the wrong lesson.
What LeadCops does instead
LeadCops is the DataCops lead form with verification built in. You build the form in DataCops and add it to any page with two lines of code. Then:
- It rejects fake leads with email rules: throwaway providers, and domains that cannot receive mail.
- It gives each lead a risk score, using the bot verdict on the visit (bots, datacenter, VPN, proxy).
- It can hold each lead's ad conversion until your CRM confirms the lead is real.
- With Real people only on for a platform, flagged visits never reach that platform at all.
See LeadCops lead generation for the full picture.
Bouncer asks if the inbox exists. The question that costs you money is whether a person was there.
The real difference: the lead, not the address
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
Every visit gets a verdict
Bouncer judges an email address: does it exist, is it disposable, is it a spam trap, has it been breached. That is its strength, and DataCops does not try to match it.
DataCops judges the visit that sent the form. Every visit is checked for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and flagged visits never reach Meta. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies. With it on, about 99% of bots are kept out.
The form rejects fakes before they land
Bouncer Shield checks the email as it is typed. LeadCops does its checks inside the form itself: throwaway providers and domains that cannot receive mail are rejected, and each lead carries a risk score. You build the form in DataCops, so there is no separate widget to wire into each page. Two lines of code and it is live. See lead generation.
The ads wait for your CRM
This is the part we did not find on any email checker's site. LeadCops can hold each lead's ad conversion until your CRM confirms the lead. The ads never learn from the junk that slipped through. They learn from leads your team said were real.
Then DataCops keeps going. On HighLevel, install it once for your agency and pick the clients: leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and counted once. Any other CRM posts to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent.
Server-side tracking from your own subdomain
Bouncer is not a tracking tool, so this is not a knock on it. It is the rest of the chain you still need. DataCops sends conversions server-side from your own subdomain, with one script and one DNS record. Click IDs are kept 90 days, and a visitor can be remembered up to 400 days (with consent in the EU). See server-side tracking.
You can see why each lead was sent
DataCops writes every conversion as a row per platform (sent, held, skipped or failed) with the reason next to it. When a client asks why a lead never showed up in Meta, the answer is one row away. The click log in first-party analytics shows what happened to each ad click.
Consent and deletion are built in
DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built to the IAB TCF v2.2 standard. Google Consent Mode v2 is on by default, the banner shows in Europe by default, and the server checks consent again before every send. Visitors can ask for deletion through a self-serve form, confirmed by email, with a status page. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are handled automatically; Google Ads deletions are still manual. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days. Bouncer, to its credit, is GDPR compliant and hosted in the EU.
On the Organization plan, two more tools work on paid clicks. Cloudflare edge blocking stops flagged traffic before it loads your page, and Google refund evidence exports the last 60 days of invalid clicks as a CSV for Google's Click Quality Form. Google decides the refund.
Bouncer tells you the address is real. DataCops tells you whether the lead should count.
The real cost of a cheap tool
The real cost is what a fake lead does after it passes. Answer these with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your form checks, bot rules and conversion tracking before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. When the ads count fake leads as wins, they learn to find more fakes. Cost per lead looks fine, cost per sale climbs, and no email check will ever show you why.
A cheap check that lets a bot through is the most expensive lead you will pay for.

1. DataCops: best Bouncer alternative for lead gen
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. LeadCops rejects fake leads at the form, every visit gets a bot verdict, and the conversion can wait until your CRM confirms the lead. Then booked, showed, won and paid go back to your ads.
Why people switch to it
- Catches bots that use real emails
- Fake leads never become ad conversions
- CRM stages sent to 8 ad platforms
- Consent manager included
Worth knowing
- Real people only is off until you switch it on
- Edge blocking and refund evidence are on Organization
Best for: teams whose fake leads are costing ad money, not just bounces.

2. ZeroBounce: best all-in-one email suite
ZeroBounce does what Bouncer does and adds more around it: scoring, inbox tests, a blacklist monitor and an email finder. Like Bouncer, it checks the address, not the visitor.
Why people switch to it
- More email tools in one place
- Free monthly credits
Worth knowing
- Still an email check, not a bot check
- Nothing sent to your ads
Best for: teams that send a lot of email and want every email tool in one bill. See ZeroBounce alternatives.

3. IPQualityScore: best for fraud scores by API
IPQualityScore scores IPs, emails, phones and URLs for fraud. Of the tools here, it is the closest to DataCops' bot and proxy checks. It gives you a score by API. What you do with that score, on the form and in your ads, is your build.
Why people switch to it
- Scores IP, email and phone together
- Free tier to test
Worth knowing
- You build the logic around the score
- Does not send conversions to your ads
Best for: teams with developers who want raw fraud scores. See IPQualityScore alternatives.

4. Emailable: best for cheap, simple bulk checks
Emailable keeps it simple: bulk and API verification, and unknown results are free. If Bouncer is more than you need for cleaning a list, it is an easy swap.
Why people switch to it
- Simple and cheap
- Unknown results not charged
Worth knowing
- Email check only
- No bot or ad tools
Best for: teams that only need lists cleaned, simply.

5. Clearout: best for form checks plus bulk
Clearout verifies emails in real time on forms and in bulk, and its credits carry forward. It fits a team that wants form checks and list cleaning from one vendor. It still checks the address, not whether a person was there.
Why people switch to it
- Form and bulk in one tool
- Credits carry forward
Worth knowing
- Email check only
- Nothing sent to your ads
Best for: teams that want real-time form checks from an email vendor. See Clearout alternatives.
Looking at the wider group? See E-HAWK alternatives and Driftrock alternatives.
How to choose a Bouncer alternative
- Name the problem. Bounces? Pick an email checker. Fake leads from ads? You need to check the visitor.
- Follow the lead to your ads. If fake leads count as conversions, a list clean will not fix your campaigns.
- Check where sales close. In a CRM or on a call? You want those stages sent back to the ads.
- Count the tools. An email check, a bot tool, a tracking tool and a consent banner, or one product.
Pick DataCops if
- You pay for leads with Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or LinkedIn.
- Bots and fake leads are getting through with real-looking emails.
- You want the ads to learn only from leads your CRM confirms.
When not to use DataCops
- Bouncer keeps the edge on the inbox. Its spam trap, breach and disposable checks, plus the Deliverability Kit, are built for people who send email. If you mail big lists, keep Bouncer for list hygiene and let DataCops decide which leads your ads hear about.
- You need to judge accounts inside your product. Account takeover, payment fraud, multi-accounting and manual review are what fraud and identity tools are built for. DataCops does none of that.
- You do not run paid ads. If fakes are not reaching an ad platform, an account-fraud tool alone may be all you need.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody buys email credits for fun. If you run ads for leads, you want four things:
- Stop fake leads at the form, not a week later in a spreadsheet.
- Keep bots away from your ad platforms, so Meta and Google do not learn from them.
- Tell the ads which leads turned into sales, so they find more buyers.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
Bouncer does a slice of the first one. DataCops is built for all four. Here is the same goal, done both ways.
The traditional way, with Bouncer
- Buy Bouncer Shield and add it to each form.
- Buy a separate bot or click fraud tool.
- Set up the pixel and a server-side tracking tool for each ad platform.
- Buy a consent banner and wire it in.
- Build a flow that sends CRM stages back to the ads.
- Run old lists through Bouncer credits now and then.
- Hope the tools agree on which leads were real.
With DataCops
- Add one script and one DNS record.
- Build your form in LeadCops and paste two lines of code.
- Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X with one click each, and Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key.
- Switch on Real people only and the consent manager.
- Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook.
Then run your business. Fake leads are rejected at the form, and the ads only learn from leads your CRM confirms.
Bouncer cleans the list. DataCops keeps the fake lead out of the list and out of your ads.
Why people look past Bouncer
Bouncer does its job well. People look further for reasons outside that job.
- Bots use real emails. The address passes, the lead is still fake.
- The ads already counted it. Checking the email does not stop the conversion reaching Meta or Google Ads.
- It sees the address, not the visit. Datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies are not in an email check.
- Shield pricing is not public. The real-time form check is a monthly plan with no price on the pricing page.
- It stops at the form. Booked calls, show-ups and won deals happen later, in a CRM, and never reach your ads through Bouncer.
Leads that turn into sales
A clean lead is only the start. The money comes later, and that later moment is what your ads need to learn from. Here is what DataCops sends, by industry.
| Business | What the form gives you | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Booking request | Booked, showed, treatment paid |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote request | Estimate booked, job won with its value |
| Agencies running client ads | Form fills per client | Every client's booked, showed, won and paid |
| B2B and SaaS | Demo request | Qualified lead, paid, by webhook |
| Legal, finance, high-ticket services | Enquiry | Consult booked, client signed |
From HighLevel natively, or any CRM by webhook. Each sale is matched using hashed email or phone and the saved click ID.
An email checker never sees any of this. See offline conversions.
Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays
Bouncer scores accounts and visitors inside your product. It does not tell the ad platforms which people are real customers, so new campaigns learn from scratch. The customers you already have are the best description of who to find.
Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:
- Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
- See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
- Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
- Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.
Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What else a fraud API never does
- Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
- Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
- Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
- Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
- Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.
Health and clinic leads
Clinics, dental and med spa accounts get a second problem: Meta restricts what health businesses can send. An email checker has no answer for that. DataCops has a health mode for Meta health restrictions. It sends only an approved list of fields, cuts page links down to the domain, and uses neutral event names like L_1. Your confirmed leads still reach Meta, without the details Meta does not allow.
Setup, step by step, side by side
Here is the same job done both ways.
| The job | With Bouncer | |
|---|---|---|
| Check emails on the form | Buy a Shield plan and add it to each form. | Build the form in LeadCops, paste two lines of code. |
| Stop bots | Not in an email check. Buy a separate tool. | Switch on Real people only for each platform. |
| Send leads to Meta and Google Ads | Not built in. Set up a pixel and a server-side tool. | Connect each platform with one click, sent server-side. |
| Only count confirmed leads | Not built in. | Hold the conversion until your CRM confirms. |
| Send booked, showed and won | Not built in. | Install once on HighLevel, or post to your webhook. |
| Clean an old list of 100,000 | — | Not what DataCops is for. |
"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald
What to know before you switch
- Bouncer keeps the edge on the inbox. Its spam trap, breach and disposable checks, plus the Deliverability Kit, are built for people who send email. If you mail big lists, keep Bouncer for list hygiene and let DataCops decide which leads your ads hear about.
- Your credits do not need to go to waste. Bouncer credits never expire, so there is no rush. Many teams keep checking old lists with the credits they have while new form leads move to LeadCops and the bot verdict.
- Hold leads until the CRM says yes. If you hold leads, connect HubSpot (checked every 5 minutes) or use the release API, so confirmed leads go out and the rest expire after 14 days. Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook too, so booked and won deals follow.
Moving from Bouncer without losing anything
- Add DataCops next to your forms. One script and one DNS record. Leave Bouncer running.
- Build one form in LeadCops and put it on your busiest ad landing page with two lines of code.
- Connect your ad accounts and send each conversion from one place only, so nothing counts twice.
- Compare for two weeks: fake leads rejected, visits flagged, and lead quality in your CRM.
- Keep Bouncer credits for list cleaning if you still send campaigns. They never expire.

Bouncer alternatives: FAQ
Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?
Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
When should I keep Bouncer instead of switching?
Bouncer keeps the edge on the inbox. Its spam trap, breach and disposable checks, plus the Deliverability Kit, are built for people who send email. If you mail big lists, keep Bouncer for list hygiene and let DataCops decide which leads your ads hear about.
What is the best Bouncer alternative?
DataCops, for most ad-funded businesses. It replaces Bouncer and the rest of the stack: one script, a bot verdict on every visit, a built-in consent manager, server-side sends to 8 ad platforms, and your CRM sales matched to the ad click. Other picks depend on the job. If you clean email lists for sending, ZeroBounce or Emailable. If your problem is fake leads from paid ads, DataCops: its lead form, LeadCops, rejects fake leads, judges every visit for bots, and keeps bad leads from reaching Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X as conversions.
Does Bouncer stop bots filling my forms?
Bouncer Shield checks the email as it is typed and flags invalid, malicious or fraudulent addresses. It checks the address. It does not say whether a person or a bot typed it. A bot can type a real, working email. DataCops checks the visit itself: bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies.
Can a valid email still be a fake lead?
Yes. Bots and form spammers often use real addresses, sometimes stolen ones. The mailbox exists, so a validator passes it. The lead is still worthless, and your ad platform still counts it as a conversion.
Does Bouncer send conversions to Meta or Google Ads?
We found nothing on its homepage or pricing page about sending conversions to ad platforms. It is an email verification tool. DataCops sends conversions to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, and can hold a lead until your CRM confirms it.
What is LeadCops?
LeadCops is the DataCops lead form with verification built in. You build the form in DataCops and add it to any page with two lines of code. It rejects throwaway email providers and domains that cannot receive mail, gives each lead a risk score, and can hold the lead's ad conversion until your CRM confirms it.
Should I use Bouncer and DataCops together?
That can make sense. Use Bouncer to clean old lists before you send email. Use DataCops on the lead form and your ad tracking, so fake leads never become conversions in the first place.
Which ad platforms does DataCops send to?
Eight: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X connect with one click. Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest connect with an API key. Microsoft Ads uses its UET Conversions API, which Microsoft runs as a pilot, so ask your Microsoft account manager to turn it on.
