What is GoHighLevel conversion tracking?

GoHighLevel conversion tracking means telling your ad platforms what happened to each lead inside HighLevel: the appointment was booked, the person showed up, the deal was won, the invoice was paid. Each stage is matched to the ad click that brought the lead, so Meta and Google learn which ads bring customers, not just form fills.

DataCops is a HighLevel Marketplace app that does this for every sub-account you pick. It keeps the ad click on the client's own site for up to 90 days, matches each HighLevel stage by the click ID or by hashed email and phone, and sends it to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X with no workflow to build.

DataCops is GoHighLevel conversion tracking from one Marketplace install: booked, showed, won and paid reach Facebook ads and Google Ads, matched to the ad click, with no workflow per sub-account.

Why HighLevel tracking breaks

Why GoHighLevel Facebook ads optimise for the wrong people

The campaign may be fine. What HighLevel tells the ad platform usually stops at the form.

The ad click, in the browser
Day 1Ad click saved
Day 8Safari clears the cookie
Day 23Deal won
No click left to match

The click ID never reaches the contact

Embedded forms, redirects and leads who come back days later arrive with no fbclid or GCLID, and HighLevel's actions need one.

Setup for each new client
A hidden field in every form
A workflow for each source
A webhook for each platform
Again for the next client

A workflow per trigger, per sub-account

Each conversion needs its own workflow and action, copied into every client account and fixed whenever a form changes.

Monthly client report
Cost per lead Shown
Cost per booked call Not tracked
Cost per won deal Not tracked

So the ads chase cost per lead

Without the booked, showed and won stages, Meta and Google find more people who fill forms and never show up.

What tracking really costs your agency

HighLevel's own actions are free. Building them for every client is not. Answer these with your own numbers.

One hour of your team's time is worth $ / hour
1

How many client sub-accounts run ads, and how many hours does each one take to wire up (hidden fields, workflows, a webhook per source)?

clients×hours each
With DataCopsInstall once on your agency and pick the sub-accounts. About 15 minutes per client.
2

How many hours a month per client go into fixing workflows when a form, a funnel or a platform changes?

hours a month per client
With DataCopsNo workflow per sub-account to fix. New forms and funnels need nothing.
3

How many clients a year leave because the leads looked fine but never booked or bought? And what is one client's monthly retainer?

clients lost×$ a month

Meta

GoHighLevel Facebook ads: send every stage to Meta

HighLevel has its own Meta Conversions API action. It works well for Facebook lead forms. Here is where it stops, and what DataCops adds.

HighLevel's own Meta action

  • Pipeline events only for contacts from a Facebook lead form, or with a stored fbclid
  • Website leads without the click ID are left out
  • A workflow action to set up in each sub-account

DataCops for HighLevel

  • Booked, showed, won and paid for website leads too
  • Matched by the click ID DataCops kept, or by hashed email and phone
  • Arrives as Lead, Schedule, Showed and Purchase, with the deal value
  • Nothing to build per sub-account after the install

HighLevel's behaviour checked on its own help pages, September 2026.

Google Ads

Go High Level Google Ads: offline conversions without a stored GCLID

HighLevel can upload conversions to Google Ads from a workflow. It needs the click ID on the contact and one of a few triggers.

HighLevel's own Google Ads action

  • Runs on form, order, call, survey or chat triggers
  • No trigger for a won opportunity or a showed appointment
  • Needs a GCLID stored on the contact, or it fails with "Contact is missing GCLID"

DataCops for HighLevel

  • Lead and Purchase by default, won deals with their value
  • Booked and showed to a conversion action you map
  • Hashed email and phone when there is no click ID, as Enhanced Conversions for Leads
  • DataCops conversion actions are created as secondary, so bidding changes only when you decide

HighLevel's behaviour checked on its own help pages, September 2026.

How DataCops tracks HighLevel conversions

Four steps from the ad click to the paid invoice, with nothing to wire inside HighLevel.

  1. Step 01
    Saved on yourdomain.com
    fbclid from Meta Kept
    gclid from Google Ads Kept
    ttclid from TikTok Kept
Kept for up to 90 days

The visitor clicks your ad. DataCops keeps the click ID on the client site for up to 90 days.

  2. Step 02
    Stages your CRM reports
    Booked call Reported
    Showed up Reported
    Won, with value Reported

The lead fills a HighLevel form, books, shows up, wins or pays, and HighLevel reports it.

  3. Step 03
    Finding the ad click again
    Won dealby email or phone
    Ad click, 23 days earlierMatched

DataCops matches the contact by click ID, or by hashed email and phone.

  4. Step 04
    Won deal sent
    Meta Sent once
    Google Ads Sent once
    TikTok Sent once
    LinkedIn Sent once

The stage goes to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, and the result is written back on the contact.

Add a form, a calendar or a pipeline tomorrow and it works without a change.

Andrew Forsyth

“15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job. Nothing else comes close.”

What arrives

The HighLevel stages DataCops sends

No trigger to build and no workflow to copy per sub-account. When HighLevel reports one of these stages, DataCops sends it to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or LinkedIn with the ad click it kept. Switch any stage off per sub-account.

  • Form or survey lead

A real HighLevel form or survey submission. Arrives as Lead.

  • Booked

A new or confirmed appointment. Arrives as Schedule.

  • Showed

The appointment is marked as showed. Arrives as Showed.

  • Won

The opportunity is won, with its value. Arrives as Purchase.

  • Paid

An invoice or order is paid. Arrives as Purchase, and counts once with the won deal.

  • Never sent

Cancelled appointments, no-shows, lost deals and moves between pipeline stages.

One first-party script, served from your own domain

  • Runs first-party from datacops.yourdomain, not a blockable third-party host
  • One script, one CNAME, live in about 5 minutes, no container to host
  • Server-side collection on Cloudflare's edge, close to every visitor
  • Captures click IDs at the network level, so fbclid and gclid still reach your CAPI feed after browsers strip them
  • Recovers 15 to 25% of the sessions other setups lose

Good to know before you start

So nothing surprises you later.

Stages, not pipeline moves

Booked, showed, won and paid are sent. Moving a deal between pipeline columns is not.

Booked and showed on Google Ads

Lead and Purchase go by default. The other two go to a conversion action you pick.

Switch on Real people only

Bot filtering starts off on a new site. Turn it on for each platform from day one.

Refund corrections are for Google Ads

Meta and TikTok offer no way to correct a sent purchase.

In short

GoHighLevel conversion tracking with DataCops, in short

DataCops is GoHighLevel conversion tracking from one Marketplace install: booked, showed, won and paid reach Facebook ads and Google Ads, matched to the ad click, with no workflow per sub-account and a log of every send.

How DataCops does it

1

Install once on the agency

DataCops is a HighLevel Marketplace app, live since 25 September 2026. Install it once on the agency and pick the sub-accounts to connect, up to your plan's client cap. There is no workflow to build in each sub-account.

2

The stages it sends

Form or survey lead, booked, showed, won with its value, and paid invoice. They are delivered as Schedule, Showed and Purchase. Cancelled, no-show, lost and pipeline moves send nothing, and each stage can be switched off.

3

Matched to the ad click

DataCops keeps the click on your own domain for up to 90 days, so HighLevel does not need a stored fbclid or GCLID, and a signed server-set cookie on your domain lasts up to 400 days where enabled. Each stage is matched by click ID or hashed email and phone, then sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.

4

How Google Ads receives them

Lead and Purchase reach Google Ads by default. Booked and showed go to a conversion action you map. DataCops creates its Google actions as secondary, so your bidding does not change by surprise.

5

Written back onto the contact

DataCops sets Last Event, Ad Platform, Ad Click and Last Sent on the HighLevel contact and adds a datacops-sent tag per stage, so you can see in HighLevel what each ad platform was told.

6

Keep fake leads out, and warm new clients

Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs, with a Real people only switch per platform, off by default. HighLevel events carry no bot flags, so the check applies to the site visit. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score, LeadCops can hold a lead, and Ads Warmup sends a client's past customers (up to 20,000, with a 0 to 10 match score) to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok.

Best for: agencies and in-house teams on HighLevel running Facebook and Google ads for clinics, home services, coaches and other lead gen clients.

Free to start. See pricing.

When not to use DataCops

Mostly Facebook lead forms, Meta only

HighLevel's own Meta action sends pipeline events for contacts who came from a Facebook lead form, or who have a stored fbclid. If that is nearly all your leads, it may be enough.

Google Ads only, with the GCLID stored

HighLevel's Add to Google Ads action works on form, order, call, survey and chat triggers and needs a click ID. If every contact carries one, it may be enough for a single account.

You need refunds sent back

Refunds and cancellations do not reach Meta or TikTok. Google Ads is corrected: a full refund retracts the conversion and a partial one lowers its value.

Microsoft Ads is a pilot

DataCops sends to Microsoft Ads through its UET Conversions API, which Microsoft runs as a pilot. Ask your Microsoft account manager to switch it on for your UET tag. Events must be within 7 days.

FAQ

It is sending what happens inside HighLevel, the form lead, the booked appointment, the show-up, the won deal and the paid invoice, back to the ad platform that brought the lead, matched to the ad click. The ads then optimise towards people who book and pay, not only people who fill a form. DataCops does it from the HighLevel Marketplace app with no workflow per sub-account.
