The short answer
Littledata sends your Shopify orders everywhere. DataCops decides which visits deserve to reach your ads, and keeps a record of every event it sent.
DataCops is a tool that does the ad-conversion job without a container, warehouse or plugin: one script and one DNS record on your own domain, a bot verdict on every visit with a Real people only switch per ad platform, the real sale from your CRM or Shopify sent back to your ads, new campaigns warmed up with the customers you already have, and a log of every send.
How DataCops does it:
- First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
- Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
- The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
- Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.
Best for: teams who want better ad conversions without building or maintaining the pipe: lead gen, ecommerce, clinics, home services, B2B and agencies.
The alternatives at a glance:
- DataCops: best overall if you want clean data, not just more destinations. Server-side orders, a bot verdict on every visit, consent built in, and a delivery log.
- Elevar: best for large Shopify brands that want deep tracking with monitoring.
- Analyzify: best for GTM-based tracking set up by experts.
- TrackBee: best for small and mid stores that want it live in minutes.
- Shopify's own apps: best if you only run Meta and Google and want to pay nothing.
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
Most people who look for a Littledata alternative start with the bill. It grows with every order. That is fair to ask about. But the bigger question is what those orders teach your ads.
Every Littledata alternatives list compares destinations and setup time. None of them ask whether the visits behind the orders were real, whether consent was checked, or whether you can see what was sent. That is what this guide is about.
Is a Shopify tracking app enough?
Littledata is a good Shopify tracking app. It takes your store events and sends them server-side, so ad blockers and Safari do not hide your purchases. DataCops does that too, through its Shopify app. The paid order comes from Shopify's own order webhook, so Shop Pay and Apple Pay orders count, and each order is sent once.
So sending the order is not the difference. Every Shopify tracking app sends the order. The difference is what happens around it:
- Who was the visitor? DataCops gives every visit a verdict: bot, datacenter, VPN or proxy. Switch on Real people only for a platform and flagged visits stay out of it.
- Did they agree? DataCops has a consent manager built in. Events wait for consent.
- What was sent, and why? DataCops writes every event as a row per platform: sent, held, skipped or failed, with the reason.
- What about the sales that close on the phone? DataCops takes them from your CRM by webhook and sends them to your ad platforms.
Put simply: Littledata sells one slice of the chain, the store-to-platform pipe. DataCops is the whole tracking solution: who visited, whether they agreed, what was sent, and the sales that never touch the checkout. Read how the store side works on the Shopify CAPI page.
A tracking app moves your orders. A tracking solution checks what it moves.
The real difference: what reaches your ads
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
Every visit gets a verdict
Littledata lists bot protection that filters bot events before they reach reports and ad audiences. That is real, and worth having. We could not find how it decides, or a switch per platform, on its own pages.
DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies. Then you choose, per ad platform, whether flagged visits go through (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and about 99% of bots stay out of Meta. It is off by default, so nothing changes until you decide.
Consent is built in
We found no consent manager of its own on Littledata's site, and its consent page returned an error when we checked. So you likely rely on Shopify's consent setup or another vendor. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built on IAB TCF v2.2, served from your own domain. Website events wait for consent before they are sent.
You can see why each event was sent
We found no per-event delivery log described on Littledata's site. DataCops writes every conversion as a row per platform (sent, held, skipped or failed) with the reason next to it. When Meta shows fewer sales than Shopify, you open the row and read why.
Returning shoppers are remembered
Safari deletes cookies set by a browser script after 7 days. Both tools fix this. Littledata says its Persistent ID recognizes returning customers for up to a year after cookies expire. DataCops sets a first-party cookie from your own subdomain that lasts up to 400 days, and keeps click IDs for 90 days. Call this one close. In the EU, both still need consent.
Privacy and data deletion are built in
We found no deletion form or deletion callbacks on Littledata's site. DataCops lets visitors ask for deletion through a form on your privacy page: they confirm by email, their session is anonymised, and a status page shows what was done. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are acted on automatically. Google Ads deletions are still a manual step. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days, and the identity store holds hashed emails and phones only.
Littledata tells you the order was sent. DataCops tells you whether it should have been.
The real cost of a cheap tool
Every order after that is billed too. That is the number on the invoice. The real cost is in the questions nobody asks before they buy. Answer them with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your consent banner, bot rules and a way to check what reached your ads before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. If bots and non-consented visits feed your ads, the ads learn to find more of them. Cost per sale climbs, and nothing in the dashboard tells you why.
A per-order price looks fair until your best month sends you the biggest bill.

| Clean data to 8 ad platforms | Sessions | Verdict + switch | Yes, webhook | |
Elevar | Large Shopify brands | Orders | Not stated | Not stated |

1. DataCops: best Littledata alternative overall
On the basics, DataCops does what Littledata does for your ads: paid orders go server-side from Shopify, so ad blockers and Safari do not hide them. The difference is everything around the order. Every visit gets a bot verdict. Consent is checked by a built-in manager. Phone and CRM sales come in by webhook. And every event has a row that says what happened and why.
Why people switch to it
- No per-order bill, and a free plan
- Real people only keeps bots out of each platform
- Consent manager and delivery log included
- Works on non-Shopify sites too
Worth knowing
- Real people only is off until you switch it on
- Edge blocking and refund evidence are on Organization
Best for: anyone who wants their ads to learn from real buyers, not just more orders.

2. Elevar: best for large Shopify brands
Elevar is the other big name in Shopify server-side tracking. It is built for larger brands that want depth and monitoring.
It costs more than Littledata at the start, and destinations are capped by plan. Like Littledata, it is priced by orders.
Why people switch to it
- Deep Shopify tracking
- Monitoring for big stores
Worth knowing
- Higher entry price
- Destinations capped per plan
Best for: large brands that want more Shopify depth. See our Elevar alternatives.

3. Analyzify: best for GTM set up by experts
Analyzify sets up Google Tag Manager tracking on your store for you.
You get a GTM setup built by people who know it. You also get a GTM setup to keep working.
Why people switch to it
- Experts set it up
- Flexible, because it is GTM
Worth knowing
- Server-side is a paid add-on
- Still a container to maintain
Best for: stores that want GTM and someone to build it. See Analyzify alternatives.

4. TrackBee: best for fast setup on small stores
TrackBee sells server-side tracking you can set up in about five minutes.
Pricing by revenue means your bill still grows with your sales.
Why people switch to it
- Quick setup
- 30-day trial with no card
- 19 integrations
Worth knowing
- Price grows with revenue
- No per-platform bot switch on its pricing page
Best for: a small store that wants tracking live today. See TrackBee alternatives.
5. Shopify's own apps: best if you pay nothing
Shopify's Facebook and Instagram app sends events through the Conversions API when data sharing is set to Maximum. The Google channel does the same for Google. It is free and already there.
Each app covers one platform, with no bot switch, no delivery log and no CRM sales.
Why people switch to it
- Free
- Nothing extra to install
Worth knowing
- One app per platform
- Little control over what is sent
Best for: stores that only run Meta and Google and want zero cost.
Other Shopify tracking apps worth a look: Aimerce alternatives and WeltPixel alternatives.
How to choose a Littledata alternative
- Count your destinations. DataCops covers Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. If you also need a GA4 or Klaviyo feed, keep that in its own tool.
- Look at your traffic. If bots inflate your add to carts and visits, you want a switch per platform.
- Check where sales close. Phone, credit or sales team? You need CRM stages.
- Price your best month, not your average one. Per-order and per-revenue bills grow with sales.
Pick DataCops if
- You run Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or LinkedIn and want them to learn from real people.
- You want consent and a delivery log without extra tools.
- You sell off the store too, or run sites that are not Shopify.
When not to use DataCops
- Littledata is strong on Shopify and GA4. It also feeds Klaviyo, Recharge and Segment. If those feeds matter, keep Littledata for them.
- You need custom tag logic or non-ad destinations. DataCops sends to ad platforms. If you feed other tools from a server container or pipeline, keep it for those.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody wants a tracking app for its own sake. You want five things:
- Capture every sale, including the ones ad blockers and Safari hide.
- Send them to your ad platforms, so Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X learn who buys.
- Include the sales that close off the store, on the phone or through a sales team.
- Keep bots out, so the platforms do not learn from fake visitors.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
Littledata covers the first two well, for many destinations. DataCops covers all five for the 8 ad platforms. Here is the same goal, done both ways.
The traditional way, with Littledata
- Install the Shopify app and connect each destination.
- Pick a plan by your order count.
- Set up a consent banner from another vendor.
- Trust the bot filter you cannot tune per platform.
- Handle phone and CRM sales somewhere else, or not at all.
- Handle deletion requests yourself.
- Watch your bill grow with every order.
With DataCops
- Install the DataCops Shopify app.
- Connect each ad platform with one click.
- Switch on the consent manager.
- Switch on Real people only.
- Connect your CRM webhook if you sell on the phone.
Then run your store. Orders and click IDs are handled for you.
Littledata sends more places. DataCops makes sure what it sends is worth learning from.
Why people leave Littledata
Littledata does its core job well. People leave for reasons around it.
- Scale charges past 1,500 orders. A good month is an expensive month.
- No free plan. Only trials capped by orders.
- Shopify only. If you also run a lead form, a booking site or a second brand off Shopify, you need another tool.
- No CRM stages. Sales closed on the phone or by a sales team never reach your ads.
- Consent is your job. We found no consent manager of its own on its site.
Sales that close off the store
Not every store sells only at checkout. Some take big orders on the phone. Some sell on credit, or through a sales rep. Littledata is order-based, so a sale that never becomes a Shopify checkout never reaches your ads. DataCops takes those from your CRM by webhook.
| Store type | What the pixel sees | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Furniture, high-ticket goods | Product page, contact form | The phone order that was paid |
| Wholesale and B2B | Quote request | The deal won, with its value |
| Sell on credit or finance | Checkout started | The order that was actually paid |
| Stores with a lead form too | Form fill | Booked call, won deal |
Any CRM by private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n, or HighLevel natively.

Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays
Littledata forwards what your site or store produces. A new ad account, pixel or campaign has nothing yet, so it pays to learn from scratch. That is a job a pipe cannot do, because the customers you already have never visit on command.
Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:
- Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
- See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
- Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
- Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.
Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What else a pipe never does
- Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
- Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
- Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
- Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
- Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.
Health and supplement stores
If you sell supplements, skincare with health claims or anything wellness related, Meta may restrict the events it accepts from you. What gets an account restricted is usually the data itself: the product link names the condition, the event carries the product name, the page title says what it treats.
With Littledata, we found no health setting on its site. Keeping that data out means changing what the app sends event by event, if it lets you.
With DataCops, you switch on health mode. It sends only fields on an approved list and blocks everything else. Page links are cut to the domain and event names go neutral, so Purchase becomes a neutral name like L_1.
Read more on Meta health and wellness restrictions.
Setup, step by step, side by side
Here is the same job done both ways.
| The job | With Littledata | |
|---|---|---|
| Get orders server-side | Install the Shopify app. No DNS record needed. | Install the Shopify app and add one DNS record for your own subdomain. |
| Connect Meta CAPI | Connect in the app. | Click Connect Meta and sign in. Pixel and server events are deduplicated by event_id, so each order is counted once. |
| Connect GA4, Klaviyo, Pinterest | Connect in the app. | Not supported. |
| Handle consent | Use Shopify's consent setup or another vendor (not confirmed). | Switch on the built-in consent manager (IAB TCF v2.2). |
| Keep bots out | Built-in bot protection, no per-platform switch found. | Switch on Real people only for each platform. |
| Send a phone or CRM sale | Not built in. | Post the sale to your webhook, or connect HighLevel. |
| Find out why a conversion is missing | No per-event log found on its site. | Open the delivery log row. The reason is next to it. |
"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald
What to know before you switch
- Littledata is strong on Shopify and GA4. It also feeds Klaviyo, Recharge and Segment. If those feeds matter, keep Littledata for them.
- Moving is simple on Shopify. Install the DataCops Shopify app, connect the same ad accounts, and switch each platform off in Littledata as DataCops starts sending it. Each order is counted once by its order ID.
- Setup tip: price your peak month. Littledata bills per order. DataCops bills by sessions, so compare both at your busiest month, not your average.
Whatever you switch from, DataCops runs the whole chain in one tool: sends to 8 ad platforms (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X), Real people only per platform (off by default), a built-in consent banner with Google Consent Mode v2 and a server re-check before every send, CRM sales sent back to the ads, a delivery log with a reason for every row, and each conversion counted once by event ID or order ID. On the Organization plan you also get Cloudflare edge blocking and Google refund evidence.
Moving from Littledata without losing tracking
- Install DataCops next to Littledata. The Shopify app and one DNS record. Leave Littledata running.
- Connect the same ad accounts, but send each platform from one tool only, so nothing counts twice.
- Compare for two weeks in Meta Events Manager and Google Ads: purchases, match quality, and what DataCops skipped as bots.
- Connect your CRM webhook if you sell on the phone.
- Keep Littledata only for GA4 or Klaviyo if you need them, or uninstall it when the numbers look right.
Every DataCops product mentioned here

Littledata alternatives: FAQ
Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?
Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
When should I keep Littledata instead of switching?
Littledata is strong on Shopify and GA4. It also feeds Klaviyo, Recharge and Segment. If those feeds matter, keep Littledata for them.
What is the best Littledata alternative?
DataCops, for most ad-funded businesses. It replaces Littledata and the rest of the stack: one script, a bot verdict on every visit, a built-in consent manager, server-side sends to 8 ad platforms, and your CRM sales matched to the ad click. If you want more Shopify depth and monitoring, Elevar. If you want GTM set up by experts, Analyzify. If you want quick and cheap, TrackBee. If you want the paid order sent server-side plus a bot verdict on every visit, a built-in consent manager and a log of every event, DataCops.
Does Littledata work outside Shopify?
We found no support for other platforms on its site. It is built for Shopify stores. DataCops works on Shopify through its app and on any other site with one script, including lead forms and signups.
Does Littledata filter bots?
Littledata lists bot protection that filters bot events before they reach reports and ad audiences. DataCops gives every visit a verdict (bot, datacenter, VPN, proxy) and a Real people only switch per ad platform. It is off by default, and keeps about 99% of bots out when on.
Does Littledata send to GA4 and Klaviyo?
Yes. Littledata sends to GA4, Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, TikTok, Klaviyo, Attentive, Recharge and Segment on every plan. DataCops sends to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X only. If you need GA4 or Klaviyo fed server-side, Littledata wins that.
Does Littledata have a consent manager?
We found no consent manager of its own on littledata.io, and its consent page returned an error when we checked, so treat this as unconfirmed. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built on IAB TCF v2.2, and website events wait for consent.
Can I send phone or CRM sales with Littledata?
Littledata is order-based. We found no CRM connection and no stages like booked, showed or won. DataCops takes HighLevel natively, or any CRM by private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n.
Which ad platforms does DataCops send to?
Eight: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X connect with one click. Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest connect with an API key. Microsoft Ads uses its UET Conversions API, which Microsoft runs as a pilot, so ask your Microsoft account manager to turn it on.
