The short answer
Clixtell blocks bad clicks in Google Ads. DataCops keeps bots out of what your ads learn from, on every platform, and adds the sales that happen after the click.
DataCops is a tool that keeps bots and junk out of the conversions your ads learn from: every visit gets a bot verdict, a Real people only switch per platform keeps flagged visits out of what each platform learns from, a click log shows each click's journey, and Organization plans export evidence for Google invalid-click refund requests. It also sends the real sale back to the click and warms up new campaigns.
How DataCops does it:
- Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
- First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
- The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
- Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.
Best for: advertisers on Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn who see bot traffic, fake leads or junk signups in their data, and agencies reporting to clients.
The alternatives at a glance:
- DataCops: best overall if you want clean tracking, not just a blocker. A bot verdict on every visit, Real people only per platform, CRM stages sent to your ads.
- ClickCease: best for small advertisers blocking on Google, Meta and Microsoft.
- ClickGuard: best for agencies that want fine-grained blocking rules.
- Fraud Blocker: best for Google plus Facebook and Instagram on a budget.
- Spider AF: best for a broader ad fraud suite.
Most people who search for a Clixtell alternative want better blocking, or blocking on more than Google. That is a fair reason. But it misses the bigger question: what are your ads learning from?
Every click fraud list compares detection rates and exclusion limits, as if stopping the click were the whole job. None of them ask what happens to the bot that gets through. That is what this guide is about.
Blocking the click is half the job
Here is the category problem in plain words. A click blocker works at the door. It spots a bad IP, adds it to your Google Ads exclusions, and maybe helps you claim a refund. Good. But no blocker catches every bot, and the new ones come from fresh IPs every day.
The bot that gets through fills your form. Your pixel records a lead. Google or Meta gets told: this person converted, find me more like them. So the ad platform goes looking for more bots. The refund covers the click. Nothing covers the months of bidding on the wrong people.
What DataCops does instead
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Every visit gets a verdict: bot, datacenter, VPN or proxy. Switch on Real people only for a platform and flagged visits never reach it as a conversion. It is off by default, and with it on, it keeps about 99% of bots out. Every ad click also has a row in the click log, so you see what it turned into.
Clixtell sells one slice of the chain: the paid click on Google and Bing. DataCops handles the chain: the visit, the verdict, the conversion, the sale in your CRM, and what each ad platform is allowed to learn.
Clixtell stops the bot you paid for. DataCops stops the ad platform learning from it.
What bot clicks looked like on our own ads
These are the paid clicks to joindatacops.com over the 60 days to 1 October 2026, almost all from our own Meta campaigns, read from the DataCops click log. One account, not a benchmark.
| What happened to the click | Clicks |
|---|---|
| Paid clicks recorded (312 Meta, 2 Google Ads) | 313 |
| Never loaded a page | 137 |
| Loaded, but left before the page ran | 126 |
| Automated browsers (headless Chrome) | 33 |
| VPN | 1 |
| Verified real people | 18 |
Meta billed all 313. On the visits our script checked in full, automated browsers outnumbered real people almost two to one, and Meta offers no IP exclusion list to stop them. Real people only was off on our own site in that period, the default for a new site, so those 33 bots could have taught Meta if they had fired a conversion. That is why the switch belongs on day one.
Clixtell protects Google and Bing only
Clixtell protects Google Ads and Bing Ads. We found no Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn protection on its site, and call tracking is a separate product with its own price.
DataCops covers eight ad platforms from one script, including Meta where most bot leads land, and sends the booked call or won deal back from your CRM.
The real difference: what your ads learn from
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
Every visit gets a verdict
Clixtell's Protection plan is real and worth knowing properly: automatic IP exclusions in Google Ads, custom rules, and blocking of suspicious devices, VPNs, proxies, IP ranges and ISPs. That works at the ad click, on Google.
DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies, and turns it into one switch per ad platform (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and flagged visits never reach Meta. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies.
Eight ad platforms, not one
Clixtell protects Google Ads and Bing Ads. If you also spend on Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn, those bots go straight into your data. DataCops sends server-side conversions from your own subdomain to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, with a bot switch for each. Microsoft Ads is one of them too.
The sale happens after the form
For a clinic, an agency or a B2B team, the money comes later: the booked call, the patient who showed up, the deal marked won. Clixtell has no path to send those to your ads. Its only link-out we found is Zapier, on the call tracking product.
DataCops is built around that moment. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients. Leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to each client's ad platforms, matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone. Any other CRM posts the sale to a private webhook. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. Read more on offline conversions and HighLevel conversion tracking.
You can see what each click became
Clixtell has a click log inside its fraud dashboard. It tells you about the click. DataCops keeps a click log in first-party analytics, and every conversion gets a row per platform (sent, held, skipped or failed) with the reason next to it. When a client asks why a lead never reached Meta, the answer is one row away.
Consent and privacy are built in
We found no consent manager on Clixtell's pages. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager with Google Consent Mode v2, and website events wait for consent. Visitors can ask for deletion through a self-serve form, confirmed by email. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are acted on automatically; Google Ads deletions are still manual. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days.
Clixtell tells you a click was bad. DataCops makes sure your ads never think it was a customer.
The real cost of a cheap tool
The invoice is the smallest number you will see. The real cost is in the questions nobody asks before they buy. Answer them with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your click fraud rules, exclusion lists and a separate tracking setup before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. When bot leads reach your ads as conversions, the ads learn to find more of them. Cost per real sale climbs, and a blocker's dashboard will not tell you why.
A refund pays back the click. It never pays back what the ads learned from it.
Every feature, side by side
Every job Clixtell without losing protection does, and what DataCops does for the same need, plus the jobs Clixtell without losing protection leaves to other tools.

1. DataCops: best Clixtell alternative overall
DataCops blocks repeat bots at your Cloudflare edge, then does what Clixtell never reaches. It works on what comes after: conversions go server-side from your own domain, every visit gets a bot verdict, flagged visits are kept out of each platform, and CRM sales are matched back to the ad click.
Why people switch to it
- Bots kept out of eight ad platforms, not one
- Tracking, consent and bot filtering in one script
- Booked, showed, won and paid from HighLevel or any CRM
- A delivery log that says why
Worth knowing
- Does not block the paid click or add IP exclusions
- No call tracking or refund reports
- Real people only is off until you switch it on
Best for: teams who want their ads to learn from real people, on every platform you run.

2. ClickCease: best for small advertisers
ClickCease is the closest swap if you want Clixtell's job on more platforms. There is a 7-day trial.
It is still a blocker. The conversions your ads receive are a separate problem. See our ClickCease alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Google, Meta and Microsoft covered
- Well known, easy to start
Worth knowing
- Costs more than Clixtell at entry
- No server-side tracking or CRM stages
Best for: a blocker on more than Google.

3. ClickGuard: best for fine-grained rules
Annual billing saves 20%. Agencies like its detailed rules.
Same limit as every blocker: it works on the click, not on what your ads learn. See our ClickGuard alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Detailed blocking rules
- Unlimited sites on Pro
Worth knowing
- Price rises with ad spend
- No tracking or CRM stages
Best for: teams who manage spend-heavy accounts and want rule control.

4. Fraud Blocker: best for Google plus Facebook on a budget
Fraud Blocker covers Google and Meta's Facebook and Instagram. There is a 7-day trial.
Good value for multi-site owners. Still a blocker. See our Fraud Blocker alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Facebook and Instagram covered
- 50 sites on Pro
Worth knowing
- No TikTok or LinkedIn found on its pricing page
- No tracking or CRM stages
Best for: advertisers who run Google and Facebook ads and watch every dollar.

5. Spider AF: best for a broader ad fraud suite
Spider AF sells ad fraud protection as a wider suite than a single click blocker. We did not confirm its price for this guide, so check its own pricing page before you compare.
Like the others here, it is built around fraud, not your conversion tracking. See our Spider AF alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Broader fraud coverage
Worth knowing
- No price confirmed here
- Not a tracking solution
Best for: when fraud is your whole problem and you want one suite for it.

When not to use DataCops
- You need bot protection for your whole site, API or checkout. DataCops is built for ad spend and the conversions your ads learn from. It is not a general bot-management layer for login, checkout or API traffic. Check what each vendor covers.
- You only have a handful of clicks a month. On a very small budget, Google's own invalid click filtering and a quick manual review may be enough.
- You want clicks blocked or IPs excluded at the ad. DataCops keeps flagged visits out of the conversions you send. It does not block clicks or push IP exclusion lists to the ad platforms. Check what the tool you use offers for that.
- You expect automatic refunds. DataCops never submits anything to Google. You attach the evidence export and Google decides.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody wants a click fraud tool for its own sake. You want five things:
- Stop paying for bots, or at least stop paying twice for them.
- Keep bots out of your conversions, so the ads do not learn from fake leads.
- Capture every real lead and sale, sent server-side from your own subdomain.
- Send the sales that happen later, on a call, in a clinic, in your CRM.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
Clixtell does the first one on Google and Bing. DataCops does the other four, on eight platforms. Here is the same goal, done both ways.
The traditional way, with Clixtell
- Add the Clixtell tracking code and Google Ads template.
- Tune your rules and IP exclusion settings.
- Run a separate pixel and Conversions API setup per platform.
- Hope the bots that get through do not fill your forms.
- Buy a consent banner from another vendor.
- Build a CRM connection for offline sales yourself.
- Leave Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn unprotected.
With DataCops
- Add one script and one DNS record.
- Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X with one click each, and Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key.
- Switch on Real people only where you want it.
- Switch on the consent manager.
- Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook.
Then run your business. Bots stay out of each platform's data, and the ads learn from real buyers.
Clixtell guards the door. DataCops guards it too, at your Cloudflare edge, and decides what your ads learn.
Why people leave Clixtell
Clixtell is cheap and does its job on Google. People leave for reasons around the blocking, not in it.
- Only Google and Bing. Its site covers Google Ads and Bing Ads. We found no protection for Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn.
- The bots that get through still convert. IP exclusions stop known sources. They do not clean the conversions your ads receive.
- It is not your tracking. You still need server-side tracking, a consent banner and a CRM link from somewhere else.
- Plans are sized by ad clicks. Monitor stops at 5,000 clicks, Protection at 10,000, and Agency rises with volume.
- The sale never reaches it. Booked calls and won deals happen in a CRM. Clixtell sees the click, not the pipeline.
Offline conversions: the job a blocker cannot do
Most businesses do not sell on the website. The website collects the lead. The money comes later, and that is what your ads need to learn from.
| Business | What the pixel sees | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Booking form | Booked, showed, treatment paid |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote request | Estimate booked, job won with its value |
| Agencies running client ads | Form fills per client | Every client's booked, showed, won and paid |
| B2B and SaaS | Demo request, signup | The stages your CRM posts, by webhook |
| Legal, finance, high-ticket services | Enquiry | Consult booked, client signed |
From HighLevel natively, or any CRM by webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Each sale goes to the ad platforms of the matching client.
A real sale is the strongest bot filter there is. Bots do not show up to appointments or pay invoices. When your ads learn from sales, not form fills, bot leads stop being worth chasing.
Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays
Clixtell protects your clicks. It does not tell the ad platforms who your good customers are, so a new campaign still starts cold. The customers you already have are the best description of who to find.
Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:
- Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
- See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
- Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
- Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.
Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What else a click fraud tool never does
- Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
- Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
- Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
- Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
- Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.
Setup, step by step, side by side
Here is the same job done both ways.
| The job | With Clixtell | |
|---|---|---|
| Get started | Add the tracking code, set the Google Ads tracking template, link your Google Ads account. | Add one script to your site head and one DNS record. |
| Stop bad clicks on Google | Automatic IP exclusions on Protection and up. | Not built in. The click happens; the visit gets a verdict. |
| Keep bots out of Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn | Not covered on the pages we checked. | Switch on Real people only for each platform. |
| Send conversions server-side | Not built in. You need a separate tracking setup. | Built in: sent server-side from your own subdomain. |
| Handle consent | Not built in. Bring your own banner. | Switch on the built-in consent manager (with Google Consent Mode v2). |
Clixtell steps from its own site, 2 October 2026.
"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald
What to know before you switch
- No tool stops the first click. It already happened on Google or Meta. DataCops stops everything after it: the repeat visit, the bot conversion and the money you never claimed back.
- Edge blocking and refund evidence are on the Organization plan. Real people only, the click log and server-side conversions are on every plan.
- Switch Real people only on from day one. It starts off on a new site.
Moving from Clixtell without losing protection
- Add DataCops. One script and one DNS record, about five minutes.
- Connect your ad accounts and send each conversion from one place only, so nothing counts twice.
- Switch on Real people only for the platforms where you see bot leads.
- Compare for two weeks: what DataCops flagged, what reached each platform, and your cost per real lead.
- Connect your CRM (HighLevel or your webhook) to add the sales Clixtell never saw.
- Connect Cloudflare on the Organization plan so repeat bots are challenged or blocked at your edge.
- Cancel Clixtell without losing protection at the end of its billing cycle, once the delivery log shows clean conversions.

Clixtell alternatives: FAQ
Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?
Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.
What is the best Clixtell alternative?
DataCops, because it replaces the whole stack, not just Clixtell. Every visit gets a bot verdict from our own IP intelligence. Repeat bots are challenged or blocked at your Cloudflare edge. Every paid click is logged by campaign. Real people only keeps bot conversions out of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Sales from your CRM go back to the ads, and flagged Google Ads clicks export as refund evidence. Consent is built in. Free up to 2,000 sessions.
Is DataCops a click fraud tool?
No. DataCops is a tracking solution. It sends your conversions server-side from your own domain to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, and puts a bot verdict on every visit. With Real people only on for a platform, flagged visits never reach it. It does not add IP exclusions to Google Ads or stop the paid click.
Does Clixtell protect Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn ads?
Its site says it covers Google Ads and Bing Ads. We found no Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn protection on the pages we checked. DataCops has a Real people only switch for each of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
Does DataCops block clicks in Google Ads?
No, and this is the honest difference. Clixtell pushes IP exclusions into Google Ads so a known bad source stops seeing your ads. DataCops lets the click happen, gives the visit a verdict, and keeps it out of the conversions your ads learn from. Some teams run both.
Can I get refunds for click fraud with DataCops?
DataCops exports your flagged Google Ads clicks in the shape Google's Click Quality Form asks for, on the Organization plan. You send it and Google decides any credit.
Does DataCops support Microsoft (Bing) Ads?
Yes. DataCops sends conversions to Microsoft Ads, alongside Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest and X.
Does DataCops do call tracking or session recording?
No. Clixtell sells call tracking and a website video recorder, and DataCops has neither. If calls are your main lead source, keep a call tracker. DataCops can still send the sale from your CRM by webhook once the call turns into a booking or a deal.
