The 5 best CHEQ alternatives in 2026

CHEQ blocks bad traffic. But the bots that get through still become conversions your ads learn from. We compared five CHEQ alternatives, all with a price you can see, on what they block, what they send and what they cost.

The short answer

CHEQ blocks traffic. DataCops decides what your ads learn from, and adds the sales that happen after the click.

DataCops is a tool that keeps bots and junk out of the conversions your ads learn from: every visit gets a bot verdict, a Real people only switch per platform keeps flagged visits out of what each platform learns from, a click log shows each click's journey, and Organization plans export evidence for Google invalid-click refund requests. It also sends the real sale back to the click and warms up new campaigns.

How DataCops does it:

  • Real people only. Every visit gets a bot verdict against 360+ billion IPs and 350+ monitoring points, with a Real people only switch per ad platform, off by default. Every form email is checked for disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score.
  • First-party collection, no extra tool. One script and one DNS record put collection on your own subdomain; with your DNS on Cloudflare, the free Worker reads the click at the edge before the page loads. Click IDs are kept on the server for up to 90 days.
  • The sale after the form. HighLevel natively (lead, booked, showed, won with value, paid), any CRM by webhook, Shopify through the DataCops Shopify app, all matched to the click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Ads Warmup. Upload your existing customers (up to 20,000 rows), see a 0 to 10 match score per person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok so new campaigns start warm.
  • Consent, memory and proof. A TCF 2.2 consent banner from your domain with Google Consent Mode v2 on by default, a server-set cookie up to 400 days where enabled, and a delivery log row for every send, counted once against the pixel.

Best for: advertisers on Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn who see bot traffic, fake leads or junk signups in their data, and agencies reporting to clients.

The alternatives at a glance:

  • DataCops: best if your goal is ads that learn from real buyers. A bot verdict on every visit, bots kept out of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, and CRM sales sent back.
  • ClickCease: best for click blocking with a public price. It is CHEQ's own self-serve brand.
  • ClickGuard: best for PPC managers who want fine exclusion rules.
  • Lunio: best like-for-like enterprise swap across many ad channels.
  • fraud0: best if you want Google Ads refunds handled for you.

DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X.

Most people who look for a CHEQ alternative start with the price. There is none on the site. You book a demo and wait for a quote. That is a fair reason to look around.

But the better reason is the question every click fraud list skips. Blocking bad clicks saves some budget. What decides your cost per sale is what your ads learn from. That is what this guide is about.

Blocking a click is half the job

A click fraud tool does two things well. It spots bad clicks and blocks the sources, and it helps you claim money back. Both are useful. Both happen before or around the click.

Now follow the bot that gets through. No blocker catches everything. That bot lands on your page, fills your form, and fires a lead. The lead goes to Meta or Google Ads as a conversion. And the ad platform does what it is built to do: it goes and finds more visitors like that one.

  • The refund is small. You get back the cost of a click.
  • The lesson is expensive. The platform keeps optimising toward bots for weeks, on your whole budget.
  • The real buyer is missing. The booked call and the won deal happen in your CRM. A blocker never sees them, so the ads never learn from them either.

That is why DataCops covers the whole chain, not one slice. It gives every visit a verdict, keeps flagged visits out of each ad platform you choose, and sends the real sales back. CHEQ sells one slice of the chain. DataCops runs the chain.

A blocked click saves you a click. A clean conversion teaches your ads who to buy.

What bot clicks looked like on our own ads

These are the paid clicks to joindatacops.com over the 60 days to 1 October 2026, almost all from our own Meta campaigns, read from the DataCops click log. One account, not a benchmark.

What happened to the clickClicks
Paid clicks recorded (312 Meta, 2 Google Ads)313
Never loaded a page137
Loaded, but left before the page ran126
Automated browsers (headless Chrome)33

Verified real people18

Meta billed all 313. On the visits our script checked in full, automated browsers outnumbered real people almost two to one, and Meta offers no IP exclusion list to stop them. Real people only was off on our own site in that period, the default for a new site, so those 33 bots could have taught Meta if they had fired a conversion. That is why the switch belongs on day one.

CHEQ sells security, you need ads that learn

CHEQ is a go-to-market security suite: separate modules for paid campaigns, form spam, analytics, tag governance and consent, and every one is sold through a demo, with no public price. You buy security in parts and still run your own tracking next to it.

DataCops is one product with a public price. Bot verdicts, edge blocking, the click log, conversions sent server-side to eight ad platforms, consent and refund evidence all ship together, free up to 2,000 sessions.

The real difference: what your ads learn from

Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.

Every visit gets a verdict

CHEQ works on traffic: it flags invalid visitors and blocks them in your campaigns and on your site. CHEQ says on its homepage that its false positive rate is 0.009%. That part is its strength.

DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies, and turns it into one switch per ad platform (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and flagged visits never reach Meta. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies. When it is on, it keeps about 99% of bots out.

You see what happened to each ad click

DataCops keeps a click log in its first-party analytics: every ad click, the verdict on that visit, and what it became. Click IDs are kept for 90 days, and the visitor cookie lasts up to 400 days on your own subdomain (in the EU, with consent).

The sale happens after the form

For a clinic, an agency or a B2B team, the money comes later: the booked call, the patient who showed up, the deal marked won. We did not see CRM stages sent to ad platforms on cheq.ai.

DataCops is built around that moment. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients. Form leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, matched to the ad click. Any other CRM posts to a private webhook. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. Read more on offline conversions and HighLevel conversion tracking.

Signups through Sign in with Google keep their click

When a visitor signs up with Google, the ad click usually gets lost on the way. SignupCops keeps it, so the signup is credited to the right ad. It also holds risky signups back, so they are not sent to your ads as real ones.

You can see why each event was sent

DataCops writes every conversion as a row per platform: sent, held, skipped or failed, with the reason next to it. When a client asks why last month's leads dropped, you open the row.

Consent and deletion are built in

CHEQ has a privacy module too: CHEQ Enforce covers consent. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager with Google Consent Mode v2, and website events wait for consent before they are sent.

Visitors can ask for deletion through a self-serve form on your privacy page. They confirm by email, their session is anonymised, and a status page shows what was done. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are handled automatically. Google Ads deletions are still a manual step. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days, and the identity store holds hashed email and phone only.

CHEQ tells you a visitor was fake. DataCops makes sure your ads never learn from it.

The real cost of a quote-only tool

CHEQ has no public price, so the quote is the first unknown. The bigger ones sit around it. Answer these with your own numbers.

The last question matters most. When bot leads reach the ad platforms as conversions, the ads learn to find more of them. Lead quality drops, cost per sale climbs, and your fraud dashboard still says the clicks were blocked.

The cheapest bot is the one you block. The most expensive is the one your ads learn from.

1. DataCops: best CHEQ alternative for ads that learn from real buyers

Tracking solution · Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn

DataCops covers both halves. It blocks repeat bots at your Cloudflare edge (Organization plan), and then works on the half CHEQ leaves open. Your conversions go server-side from your own domain, every visit gets a bot verdict, and with Real people only on, flagged visits never reach that platform. Then the sales from your CRM go back, matched to the click.

Why people switch to it

  • Bots kept out of what the ads learn from
  • Booked, showed, won and paid from HighLevel or any CRM
  • A delivery log row for every conversion
  • Public price and a free plan

Worth knowing

  • Edge blocking and refund evidence on Organization
  • Real people only is off until you switch it on

Best for: teams whose problem is what their ads learn, not just what they pay for.

2. ClickCease: best for click blocking with a public price

Click fraud blocking by CHEQ · Google, Meta, Microsoft Ads

ClickCease is CHEQ's own self-serve brand. There is a 7-day free trial.

Watch the limits. Go over your visits and overage charges apply. And like CHEQ, it blocks. Bots that get through still reach your ads as conversions.

Why people switch to it

  • Public price and a free trial
  • Same company as CHEQ
  • Covers Microsoft Ads

Worth knowing

  • Overage charges above the limits
  • Does not send conversions or CRM stages

Best for: teams who want CHEQ-style blocking they can buy today.

3. ClickGuard: best for fine-grained PPC rules

Click fraud protection · Google, Meta, Microsoft

ClickGuard prices by ad spend, not visits. Clicks are unlimited, there is a free trial and 20% off annual.

PPC managers like it for control over exclusion rules. Data retention is short on the lower plans: 1 month on Lite, 2 on Standard, 6 on Pro.

Why people switch to it

  • Fine exclusion rules
  • Unlimited clicks
  • Cancel any time

Worth knowing

  • Short data retention on lower plans
  • Does not send conversions or CRM stages

Best for: PPC managers who work by hand and want the rules in their control.

4. Lunio: best like-for-like enterprise swap

Invalid traffic protection · 9 ad networks · quote only

Lunio is the closest match to CHEQ. It covers Google, Bing, Twitter, LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, TikTok, Yandex and Naver, and keeps click data for 2 years. It is quote only, priced as "a small fraction of your ad spend", with a 14-day free traffic audit instead of a trial.

If you leave CHEQ for price, Lunio will not solve that. If you leave for channels, it might.

Why people switch to it

  • The widest channel list here
  • 2 years of click data
  • Free traffic audit

Worth knowing

  • No public price
  • Does not send conversions or CRM stages

Best for: teams who want CHEQ's job across more channels.

5. fraud0: best for Google Ads refunds done for you

Bot and click fraud protection · Google, Meta, Microsoft

fraud0 prices by sessions. Pro is 150, or 120 yearly, up to 100,000. Enterprise is 600, or 500 yearly, and adds CRM form-fill and affiliate fraud protection.

Its standout is automated Google Ads refunds, with a 33.33% success fee on the money recovered. Easy to start, and you pay only when it works.

Why people switch to it

  • Refunds handled for you
  • Low entry price

Worth knowing

  • A third of every refund goes to fraud0
  • Does not send conversions or CRM stages

Best for: teams whose main goal is getting money back from Google.

When not to use DataCops

  • You need bot protection for your whole site, API or checkout. DataCops is built for ad spend and the conversions your ads learn from. It is not a general bot-management layer for login, checkout or API traffic. Check what each vendor covers.
  • You only have a handful of clicks a month. On a very small budget, Google's own invalid click filtering and a quick manual review may be enough.
  • You want clicks blocked or IPs excluded at the ad. DataCops keeps flagged visits out of the conversions you send. It does not block clicks or push IP exclusion lists to the ad platforms. Check what the tool you use offers for that.
  • You expect automatic refunds. DataCops never submits anything to Google. You attach the evidence export and Google decides.

What's your actual goal?

Nobody wants click fraud software for its own sake. You want five things:

  1. Stop paying for fake traffic, where you can.
  2. Keep bots out of what your ads learn from, so Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X chase real people.
  3. Capture every real lead and sale, sent server-side from your own subdomain.
  4. Send the sales that happen offline, on a call, in a clinic, in your CRM.
  5. Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.

CHEQ is strong on the first one, and it has more security modules around it. DataCops covers the other four. Here is the same goal, done both ways.

The traditional way, with CHEQ

  1. Book a demo and wait for a quote.
  2. Install CHEQ and set your blocking rules.
  3. Keep your pixels, tags or GTM setup for conversions.
  4. Add Conversions API for each ad platform on your own.
  5. Connect your CRM to each ad platform separately.
  6. Hope the bots that got through were not sent as leads.
  7. Check every ad manager to see what actually arrived.

With DataCops

  1. Add one script and one DNS record.
  2. Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X with one click each, and Microsoft Ads, Reddit and Pinterest with an API key.
  3. Switch on Real people only where you want it.
  4. Switch on the consent manager.
  5. Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook.

Then run your ads. Every visit gets a verdict, and every conversion has a row that says whether it was sent and why.

CHEQ guards the door. DataCops guards it too, at your Cloudflare edge, and decides what your ads learn.

Why people leave CHEQ

CHEQ is a serious product. People leave for reasons around it.

  • No public price. No tiers and no self-serve trial on cheq.ai. Every conversation starts with a demo.
  • A suite, when you wanted one job. Acquisition, Form Guard, Analytics, Manage, Enforce and Agent Intent. Great for a security team. A lot for a marketer who wants better ad results.
  • Blocking does not fix what the ads learned. A bot that gets through still becomes a conversion, unless something stops it on the way to the platform.
  • The sale is somewhere else. Booked calls and won deals live in your CRM. Sending them to your ads is a separate project.
  • Built for enterprise. Its homepage talks about 6T signals a day and 1M domains monitored. Smaller teams and agencies often want something they can switch on today.

Offline conversions: the job a blocker cannot do

Most businesses do not sell on the website. The website collects the lead. The money comes later, and that later moment is what your ads need to learn from. Here is what DataCops sends, by industry.

  2. The visit gets a verdict. Flagged visits stay out of the platforms where Real people only is on.
  3. The lead books, shows up or buys in your CRM, days or weeks later.
  4. The stage goes to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X, matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone, and counted once.

Ads Warmup: tell the ads who pays

CHEQ protects your clicks. It does not tell the ad platforms who your good customers are, so a new campaign still starts cold. The customers you already have are the best description of who to find.

Ads Warmup, DataCops' flagship feature, sends them to your ad platforms before a campaign spends:

  1. Upload a customer list. A CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls. DataCops reads your columns; only email is required.
  2. See a match score for every person. An estimate from 0 to 10 from email, phone, name, location, click ID and customer ID, before anything is sent.
  3. Pick the event. Purchase, Lead, Complete registration, Add to cart or Schedule.
  4. Send server-side. Up to 20,000 people per upload to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok, with a sent, skipped or failed result per person. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad.

Each row is dated when you press send, not with the old sale date, so it gives a new campaign real customers to learn from on day one. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.

What else a click fraud tool never does

  • Capture at the edge. With DNS on Cloudflare, the free, optional DataCops Cloudflare Worker reads click IDs and UTMs off the first request, before the page or any script runs. It captures; it does not block.
  • Keep the click on the server. gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, ttclid and li_fat_id are stored for up to 90 days, so a deal that closes weeks later still finds its click. A signed server-set cookie lasts up to 400 days where enabled.
  • Check the lead's email. Fixed rules, not guesses: disposable providers, domains with no mail server and an email risk score. With LeadCops (Business and up), a lead that fails is held and never billed.
  • Install on Shopify. The DataCops Shopify app adds a web pixel and a theme app embed, so every paid order reaches your ads, express checkouts included. See Shopify Conversions API.
  • Hand evidence to Google. On the Organization plan, the fraud refund report exports bot-flagged Google Ads clicks in the format Google's Click Quality form asks for. You attach it; Google decides.

Meta health and wellness restrictions

Clinics and health brands buy a lot of paid traffic, and Meta may restrict the events they send. A blocker does not touch that. The problem is the data itself: a page link that names the treatment, an event called Book_Implant_Consult.

With DataCops, you switch on health mode. It sends only an approved list of fields and blocks the rest. Page links are cut to the domain and event names go neutral, so Lead becomes L_1. Read more on Meta health and wellness restrictions.

Setup, step by step, side by side

Here is the same goal done both ways. CHEQ steps are based on what cheq.ai shows: a demo first, then blocking. The conversion side is what you add on your own.

What to know before you switch

  • No tool stops the first click. It already happened on Google or Meta. DataCops stops everything after it: the repeat visit, the bot conversion and the money you never claimed back.
  • Edge blocking and refund evidence are on the Organization plan. Real people only, the click log and server-side conversions are on every plan.
  • Switch Real people only on from day one. It starts off on a new site.

Moving from CHEQ without losing protection

  1. Add DataCops. One script and one DNS record, about five minutes.
  2. Connect your ad accounts and send each conversion from one place only, so nothing counts twice.
  3. Switch on Real people only for one platform first, and watch what the delivery log skips.
  4. Connect your CRM (HighLevel or your webhook) to add the booked, showed and won stages.
  5. Connect Cloudflare on the Organization plan so repeat bots are challenged or blocked at your edge.
  6. Cancel CHEQ without losing protection at the end of its billing cycle, once the delivery log shows clean conversions.

CHEQ alternatives: FAQ

Can I warm up a new campaign with my existing customers?

Yes, with DataCops Ads Warmup. Upload a CSV of past buyers, old leads or booked calls (only email is required, up to 20,000 rows), see a match score from 0 to 10 for every person, and send them to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as fresh signal, dated when you send. Google Ads credits only people who clicked a Google ad. Preview is free; sending needs a paid plan.

What is the best CHEQ alternative?

DataCops, because it replaces the whole stack, not just CHEQ. Every visit gets a bot verdict from our own IP intelligence. Repeat bots are challenged or blocked at your Cloudflare edge. Every paid click is logged by campaign. Real people only keeps bot conversions out of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Sales from your CRM go back to the ads, and flagged Google Ads clicks export as refund evidence. Consent is built in. Free up to 2,000 sessions.

Is DataCops a click fraud tool?

Yes, and more than one. DataCops covers the whole click fraud chain. Every visit gets a verdict from its own IP intelligence and browser checks (bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs, proxies). On the Organization plan, repeat bot IPs are pushed to your Cloudflare and challenged or blocked, and flagged Google Ads clicks export as refund evidence. With Real people only on for a platform, flagged visits never reach Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or LinkedIn as conversions. It is also your server-side tracking.

Does DataCops block bots from clicking my ads?

Yes, from the second visit. No tool on your site can stop a click that already happened on Google or Meta, so the first click is paid. After that, on the Organization plan, DataCops pushes repeat bot IPs to your Cloudflare, where they are challenged or blocked. On every plan, Real people only keeps the bot out of the conversions your ads learn from.

How many bots does Real people only keep out?

About 99% of bots when it is switched on, by our own measurement. It is off by default and you switch it on per ad platform. Events that come from your CRM carry no bot flag, because they are sales your team recorded.

Which ad platforms does DataCops cover?

Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Not Snapchat. CHEQ and Lunio cover more channels, so if those matter, they win that row.

Does CHEQ stop fake form fills?

Yes. CHEQ Form Guard blocks bot form spam and fake leads before they submit, according to cheq.ai. DataCops LeadCops forms block high-risk submissions. On any form it scores the email, lets the lead in and keeps flagged leads out of the ad platforms you choose, and LeadCops can hold the ad conversion until your CRM confirms the lead.

Can DataCops send CRM sales to my ads?

Yes. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients: form leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Pinterest and X. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. Any other CRM posts to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n.

Can I run DataCops and CHEQ together?

Yes. They do different jobs. CHEQ keeps blocking on your site and in your campaigns, DataCops handles the conversions that go back to your ads. You can start that way and decide later.
